Juniper was at odds with herself. . . She wanted to find out what happend to her family and maybe get a clue of how she was cursed— but she was afraid. Afraid of learning about something she didn't want to know, about learning of something she already knew was true deep down.

She was in the woods. The witch only vaguely remembered leaving the Salvatore's home, but she had no idea how long it had been already.

Juno had been walking for a while now, strolling past hundreds of trees and losing track of the time. The moonlight was shining through the treetops, giving the witch a view of where she was putting her feet with each step. She was holding the old withered book close to her chest, scared to lose it.

She ended up in a small clearing, a tree in the middle of it. She came to a halt next to the tree, deciding to sit down beneath it with her back leaning against it and with her legs crossed.

She looked down at the book now in her lap, rubbing her fingers over the cover gently. Yes, she was terrified to read the truth— but she was also excited. The witch wanted to reunite with her family, their descendants. Almost everyone in Mystic Falls had been welcoming to her, but it wasn't the same. She craved the prescence of her own blood, of more witches surrounding her like they did two centuries ago.

Juniper took a deep breath, quickly composing herself before finally opening the book that held all the answers she wished for.

The book started with chapters about her ancestors, the witch didn't know of them so she skimmed through the pages until she landed on the right one, about her parents and her.

A year later they were with childThe elders thought it likely to be a boy, but Heleana was adamant on it being a girl. The elders were warned by the LaRue ancestors about the child, them claiming that this baby would be catastrophic to their familytoo powerful for a mere witch.'

March 26th 1791

'A healthy baby girl came crying into the world adorned with big blue eyes and unusual pale hair, unusual because her parents were both brown of hair. The couple was overjoyed and called her Juniper— expecting her to be an extraordinary witch.

The couple's joy dissapeared quickly when they discovered what the child was not an extraordinary witch, but a siphoner; an abomination. A being born without the ability to generate their own magic, but do possess a rare power that allows them to siphon magic from other sources and use that magic as their own.'
