After going over the plan once more, but with Juniper present this time, the group decided that she had to go back to Katherine so that the vampire wouldn't grow suspicous of her absence. The LaRue witch was anxious about going back and Bonnie noticed the tense expression on her face, so whilst the group was scattered around the Salvatore home, she decided to approach her.
Juniper was standing in front of a window, looking outside with a view of the garden when Bonnie ended up standing next to her with a healthy distance between them. Juno saw out of the corner of her eye that the Bennett witch was also looking outside. She decided to strike up a conversation seeing as Bonnie was quiet, not sure on what to say.
''I was surprised to hear that a Bennett witch was involved in all of this when you introduced yourself,. Te ones I knew were known for not being interested in vampire business.'' Bonnie turned to the woman next to her in surprise, a curious spark in her eyes ''You knew my ancestors?''
The pale haired woman glanced at Bonnie with a small smile and nodded ''Yes, the Bennetts were, and presumably still are, a bloodine of very powerful witches. It was almost every covens' wish to be their ally. . . most of them stayed in one place— I expect in Mystic Falls, but some scattered to all parts of the world and landed in England, where my coven was situated.'' when seeing the teenagers' attentive expression she continued.
''I did not communicate with them as much—'' her family didn't want to make a bad impression, so they never wanted to introduce the young Juniper to new potential coven members or allies, afraid that they would find out about her little siphoning trick and cast them aside.
''—but the one I did meet was one of the nicest witches I've ever met and gave off the most formidable aura of magic I've ever felt.'' she turned to face the younger witch fully now. ''Much like yourself, Miss Bennett.''
It was quiet for a few seconds and Juniper was afraid she had said something to offend the young witch, until she spoke up ''Thank you. . . I've never been told a lot about the witch side of my family. It's nice to hear about them.'' she mustered a small smile. ''And you can just call me Bonnie, if you'd like.''
''Bonnie it is then.''
Juno was glad to make friendly conversation with the young witch, she knew the group of friends did not fully trust her yet and she was anxious about the plan of her going back to Katherine. Even if it was just for a little bit.
But talking with Bonnie calmed her nerves, glad to know that someone wanted to talk to her.
Soon after their conversation ended, Stefan called everyone back to the living room to discuss some final details.
''Are you sure you guys don't want me there tonight?'' Alaric was asked to stay with the doppelganger during the masquerade that night, apparantly the girl did not know about her friends planning to kill her evil doppelganger and they needed her to stay in the dark.
