DELILAH EXHALED, her throat moving as she gulped, watching the fire crackle. They all sat around in a circle and were silent for the better half of the moment. "I'm going to find my suitcase."

Delilah announced, no one replied, but some eyes followed her as she stood. Delilah stumbled about blindly, looking in the clearings for her case. When she tripped on a big object, she kneeled down and opened it once she had confirmed it was her.

The girl breathed heavily, up-zipping the smaller compartment in her case lid and taking out a carton of cigarettes. She looked around for another minute, before coming across a lighter. Delilah grinned, opening the carton and taking one out, putting it in her mouth.

"Ugh." She groaned, throwing her head back against a tree as she lit it, taking the first inhale. Delilah stayed this way for a moment, until a crack of a twig alerted her of someone's arrival.

"Think you'd be up to share?" A raspy voice came from behind hher. Delilah looked at the voice and saw Lottie standing there, her hands clasped together.

"Yeah, yeah sure." Delilah spoke softly. Lottie smiled at this, knowing that Delilah had spoken to her in her tone of voice that was reserved for certain moments.

Lottie moved and sat down next to her, taking hold of the cigarette and inhaling. "Thanks." She muttered. Delilah smiled, taking it back and inhaling herself. "All good."

"I thought Natalie would be the only one with contraband?" Lottie said jokingly. "Didn't realise Little Miss perfect also had a liking for this shit." She teased.

Delilah sighed, pursing her lips around the cigarette, before taking it away from her mouth and swallowing. "I'm not perfect."

"What?" Lottie asked quietly.

"I said i'm not perfect. I've got secrets too, we all do." Delilah said sternly. Lottie furrowed her brows. "I know that."

It was quiet for a moment, the cigarette passed between them multiple times. "What kind of secrets do you have?" Lottie asked. Delilah huffed. "I don't usually talk when I do this stuff with people."

Lottie hummed. "Sorry." She paused. "What people do you do this with?"

Delilah's head lulled to the side and raised a brow at Lottie, who shook her head. "Sorry. I usually talk."

"It's all good." Delilah spoke slowly. "It's not really my place to say anyway."

Lottie shrugged. "I don't mind. I like the quiet." Delilah knows Lottie was lying for the sake of her. She smiled to herself, butting out the cigarette on the tree.

She stood and held her hand out for Lottie. "Come on, those guys will be wondering where we went."
