DELILAH SAT, her back against one of the pillars at that cabin, fiddling with her hair. She was staring blankly at the ground and braiding her blonde strands over her shoulder loosley. She looked around, sighing. Usually, if Delilah was bored in a group setting with the Yellowjackets, she'd start a fight with Jackie with a bitchy quip that mostly ended up with the two fighting in sarcastic tones, seeing who could be more passive aggressive, (it was difficult to tell, because really the arguments reeked of entitled girl's with loser dickhead boyfriends).
This time though, Delilah was in no mood, and she could sense Jackie wasn't either. So instead, she opted on glancing about the area with a resting bitch face.
Delilah could feel a glare on the side of her face. Shauna really was in a mood. Delilah cocked a brow, turning her head to look at the Shipman girl. She fluttered her eyes in a quick blink, before maintaining eye contact with Delilah as the blonde narrowed her eyes, clenching her jaw.
Shauna was so tempted to take the knife in her hand and stab herself in her eyes if Delilah was going to keep looking at her like that.
"Hey! You don't know what the hell you're doing with that!" Van yelled suddenly, making Delilah's head snap to the side. Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of Travis holding up a gun, his left eye closed and aiming the weapon at a tree where a stray squirrel sat in a branch.
"He's being fucking stupid." Jackie spoke up, watching as Van grabbed the gun off him only for it to be pulled right back off her and into Travis's hands again.
He sighed, glaring at Jackie. "No. What's stupid is the fact that we have a gun and we're not fucking using it." He then aimed the gun once again at the squirrel, before pulling the trigger and watching the animal scurry away.
Delilah laughed at his miss. "Great shot, Flex. Almost got us breakfast." She quipped, receiving a glare at her head from Travis, who now moved his gun down and bared his teeth like a wild animal.
Delilah's head quirked back and her face contorted into a weirded out expression at that. "Ew" She murmured, before returning to playing with her hair.
"Hey! Give me that." Coach Ben hobbled out of the cabin, his new crutch supporting him in walking a few steps the best he could. When no one made a move, he pushed again. "Travis, give me the gun." The boy moved his head, before glaring at Delilah and then Van, standing up and going to give Ben the gun begrudgingly.
"This is a dangerous weapon, and we will handle it as such. We understand?" Everyone nodded in agreement. "All right, that said, Travis is right. We're out of food. We're all feeling it. The good news is my father used to take me deer hunting every year as a kid. The bad news is i'm doing to one fucking leg." He sighed, moving a step forward, hobbling on his remaining limb. He sighed, clearly out of breath from lugging his weight around on only one foot. "Which means, one of you is gonna have to learn how to use this thing."
