"ALL RIGHT. Bring it in. Take a knee, ladies." All the varsity and JV girls gathered in, kneeling down to listen to Coach Scott. He whistled, smiling as he watched everyone before him. "What's up, state champs?"

Whooping ensued, everyone still proud of their win. Delilah clapped with a grin on her face. "Okay, so JV is gonna help us out with a little scrimmage today." Coach clapped his hands together, smiling and nodding.

"Uh, Coach Martinez had to take care of a family thing, so, JV, you're gonna grab a pinny from Misty, and let's get started." He looked over at the girl beside him, who was holding a bunch of the pinny's in her arms, smiling wildly at the players before her.

"Uh, excuse me, Coach Scott." Laura Lee spoke up, putting her hand up to gain attention. Delilah turned her head to the blonde beside her. Laura Lee smiled. "Shouldn't we say a prayer first?" She shrugged.

Delilah, along with everyone else, looked over at Coach Scott. He smiled hesitantly and chuckled. "Uh, it's just
a scrimmage, Laura Lee." He spoke. "But, uh, sure. Yeah. Knock yourself out."

Laura Lee grinned. "'Kay." She slapped her hands together, along with the rest of the team.

"Heavenly Father, let our efforts remain fruitful, so that we may perform in ways glorious to you. In Your name we pray. Amen."

"All right. Let's go."

DELILAH GRUMBLED, her hands clenching and unclenching. She crossed her arms and popped a hip to the side, raising an eyebrow judgingly at Allie, who was on the other side of the pitch currently getting her shit rocked by JV, of all people.

She sighed, shaking her head. "Jesus." Murmured the girl, before walking forward a couple steps and reading herself if anyone decided to actually get the ball near her enough for her to intercept and intervene with it all. Delilah hated feeling useless, and right now, her centre midfielder duties aren't really coming into play much.

Delilah loved her position, and, apart from the fact that she was in the centre of everything most of the time, she was fond of it most because of the fact that it was where all the action happened.

Or, was supposed to happen. And would be, if Allie could get possession for at least more than five seconds.

Shauna and Nat were beside her on either sides, clearly feeling the same as they wandered around, occasionally trying, but giving up immediately when the opposing team once again ran away, ball between their feet.
