Diluc stepped up the hill and he turned around to Y/N who was carefully following close behind him, "Careful on your way up, the bushes might make you trip."
Y/N slowly tries to step around the sharp twigs and the hem of her dress got tangled in the twigs.
"Woah-!"
Diluc dropped the basket and quickly caught her, pulling her close to him. He sighed, "Did you not listen to me? I told you to be careful."
Y/N becomes flustered and she rubs the back of her neck, "Yeah sorry... It was my bad."
"It's fine. Are you alright? You didn't get scratched did you?"
"No no. I'm completely fine. We should set up the food, I am getting a little tired and hungry from all that walking we did."
Diluc nodded his head and he set down a blanket before they both set out the food. Y/N sat down beside Diluc and pick up a sandwich before munching down on it. Diluc watches her eat and gives her a small smile, "Is it to your liking?"
Y/N nodded her head, "Mhm! Adelinde never fails to make good food."
Diluc nodded his head and he eats one as well, "Indeed. She always been good at cooking ever since I had her as a little boy."
Y/N choked on her sandwich and Diluc hands her a handkerchief, "W-What? She's been with you since you were a kid? I thought she was around her mid 20s. Just how old is she?"
"Hmm... I never really asked my father but I remember looking through the staff document and she joined the winery when she was 20 years old. So she would be around her 40s right now."
"Wow... To think she raised both you and Leonard..."
Diluc nodded his head, "My mother was out of the picture ever since I can remember so Adelinde filled in that spot for me. Despite her young age she did a great job at helping my father watching over me and Kaeya along with the house."
"Oh... I'm sorry about your mother." Y/N said as she pops a grape into her mouth.
"Please don't be." Diluc said, "I never had any relationship with her so I don't feel bad about her or anything."
He smiled a little as he looked up at the clear sky, "At least, Leonard will have you in his life. I'm sure when the timing is right, he'll be overjoyed to find out that you're his mother. I saw how you two were getting along better and better by the days."
"Y-Yeah..." Y/N stammered as she fidgets with her fingers, "But have you ever thought if Leonard will be a little confused as to why you and I aren't... well... together?"
"Now that you mention it, I really haven't thought about it." Diluc said as he puts his hand on his chin, "Hmmm... I guess we could say you had to live in Sumeru because of your work and you don't have a lot of time to—"
"No Diluc." Y/N said as she sighed in frustration. Was he dense as to what she imply by them being together?
"What I mean was that..." She stopped herself and sighed, "Forget it. Let's just finish our food and walk around for a bit. The weather is really nice for a stroll on the field."
Before Diluc could say anything, Y/N turned away and finishes her sandwich.

I never seen this kind of flower around."
