Agni :- Umm... Okay... Apko kya kya karna accha lgta hain?? I mean your likes and dislikes?

Diya :- Mujhe painting krna accha lgta hain, dance to main krti hu, books padhna pasand hain, then riding bikes, cooking.

Agni :- Woww... Apko bikes pasand hain?

Diya :- Hnn... bohot!!

Agni  :- Ek baat bolu, please bura matt maniye ga... Mujhe actually utna kuch aata nahi hain cooking main. Toh sunke accha laga ki aap cooking krte hain.

Diya  :-Agar aap chaye, toh hum aapko sikha sakte hain cooking... Shaadi k baad.

Agni :- Well... Umm... Then I'll be eagerly waiting. (and winked)

I don't know, from where I got so much confidence to say that, but it happened... It just happened.

Agni :- Umm, we should go downstairs... Everyone must be waiting.

When he  was about to leave the room, suddenly I called him

"𝙰𝚊𝚑 𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚢𝚎"

Agni :- Hnn ji, boliye

𝚄𝚐𝚑𝚑𝚑... 𝙷𝚒𝚜 "𝙷𝚗𝚗 𝚓𝚒"... 𝙸 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝙸 𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚕𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚗'𝚝 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗, 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚎. 𝙸 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚖𝚢𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍

Diya:- I don't have any boyfriend, neither do I have any past relationship

Agni (shockingly)  :- Whatt!! I mean aapne toh bataya...

𝙻𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚎𝚢𝚎𝚜, 𝙸 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍:-

"𝙷𝚗𝚗 𝚖𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚋𝚘𝚕𝚊 𝚝𝚑𝚊, 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝙰𝚊𝚙𝚔𝚎 𝚙𝚎𝚑𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚞𝚛 3 𝚏𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚢 𝚊𝚊𝚢𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚛𝚎𝚓𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚖𝚎.

Agni :- So did I passed the test??

(𝚂𝚑𝚢𝚕𝚢) :- 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔?

Agni kept staring at me for a few seconds and then with a smile, he said :-

" It's a yes"😉

I kept looking at him and my poor little heart did an oddly flip. For the first time, I saw him properly. That sharp jawline, those deep brown eyes ( jisme doob jaane ka Mann karta hain ), long eyelashes, those lips, ughhh... Okay, I'm becoming horny. I somehow composed myself and said :-

"Chalein"?

He nodded his head and we both started heading towards the guest room. Our parents were sitting there, and as soon as his mother saw me, she asked whether it was a yes or no, from my side. I politely told her, that it's a yes from my side. So did he. We were talking when suddenly my father said :-

" If you don't mind, Mrs. Saxena, can I take my daughter and my wife for few minutes. I need to talk to them. "

(In the study)

"Diya, Ranjana... I can't agree for this marriage"

𝓑𝓸𝓽𝓱 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓶 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝔃𝓮 𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓲𝓻 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮.

Diya (shockingly) :- But why dad?

Ravi :- Because he's an officer beta.

Diya :- That's why you'll not accept this?? Seriously!!!

Ravi (cupping her face) :- Beta, there is a lot of risk in these type of professions. What if something happens to you? See I won't disagree with the fact, that Agni is a very good man. The way he was talking with us and from his face also, I understood that he's a gentleman. But what if something happens to you??

Suddenly Diya remembers , what Agni said to her. "2 families have rejected me because of my profession."

Diya :- Papa tell me one thing.

Ravi looked at her.

" Aap khud humesha yahi bolte aaye hain na, ki hume humesha wahi krna chaiye, jo hume accha lage. Papa, Agni humesha se officer ban na chahta tha. That was his passion, his life aur woh isliye ish profession ko choose kiya. Just because woh ek officer hain, iska matlab toh nahi hain ki woh khud jeena bhul jaaye. Are woh bhi toh ek insaan hain, unhe bhi toh pyaar karne wala chaiye. Pura din kaam karne ke baad, jab ghar aaye, toh koi unke liye wait kare, koi esa rahe jisse woh saara baat share kar payega.

Ravi :- Lekin beta...

"Diya ko kuch nehi hoga uncle. Aur main apse yeh promise karta hun."

They looked at the door, and saw Agni.

AGNI'S POV

Don't know why, but when Diya's father said that he wants to talk with her and her mother, I felt somewhere ki something like this is going to happen. I was lost in my own thoughts and my phone started ringing. It was from Rishi. He said that there is something urgent and I've to go. I told my mom. I thought of informing them as well, so I stood up from my place and was heading towards the study when I heard their conversations. The thing which shocked me the most was the way Diya supported me. I mean the way she explained... Damn!! I fell for her, like seriously. I went inside and while keeping an eye contact with her father, I said:-

"Sir, I promise that I'll always keep her safe, no matter what, till my last breath. I know you are tensed, and I can completely understand and it's normal. But sir this is also true that I cannot think of marrying someone else other than Diya. "

Agni told the last part while looking at Diya. Confidence was visible in his eyes and voice. Then he told them that actually he came here to inform them that he has to leave as an urgent call has come. After taking permission from both of them and looking at Diya for the last time, he left with his mom. Komal ji was about to leave when Ravi ji said -

Ravi :- Komal ji, damad ji ko bataiye gaa ki humlog mann gaye hain... Ish shaadi ke liye. (𝙷𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊  𝚋𝚒𝚐 𝚜𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚎).

After talking for a few more minutes, Komal ji said to Diya -

"Beta, aab ekbr tum bhi aajao humare ghar. Ravi ji, Ranjana ji, ap log bhi aaiye ekbar Diya ko leke. Hum abhi apne bete go nahi bataayenge. Usko surprise denge"

They all laughed, because obviously, Agni ka sakal dkhke sabko bura lgraha  tha. The way he was sitting on the driver sit, and was looking at Ravi ji with hope. To be honest, this was the 1st time when Agni was feeling scared of getting rejected.
