Diya laughed, handing out the remaining pastries and small gifts she had brought. She spent time talking to them, listening to their stories, and encouraging them. Some of the children even showed her a few dance moves they had been practicing, their faces glowing with pride as she clapped and praised their efforts.
Agni stayed back, observing quietly. The way Diya interacted with these children—with so much love, patience, and genuine care—stirred something deep within him. She wasn’t just giving them gifts; she was giving them hope, a sense of belonging, and a reminder that they were valued.

Agni’s POV
As the car headed back toward the city, Agni couldn’t take his eyes off Diya. She sat beside him, humming softly to herself, her face glowing with the satisfaction of having made so many people happy.
Agni’s thoughts were a whirlwind. He had always admired her compassion, but seeing it in action was something else entirely. This wasn’t just a duty or a fleeting act of kindness for her—it was who she was at her core.
She didn’t just teach dance to orphaned and slum children; she gave them a reason to smile, a chance to dream. And as he watched her now, he realized just how much he was falling for her.
“She’s not just beautiful,” he thought to himself. “She’s the kind of person who makes the world better just by being in it. And somehow, she’s mine.”
Turning his attention back to the road, Agni felt a sense of pride swell in his chest. He didn’t need to say anything at the moment; he knew she could feel his silent admiration.
As the car rolled on, the morning sun painted the city in golden light, but in Agni’s heart, it was Diya’s light that shone the brightest.

Scene: An Evening Surprise
The sun was dipping below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink as Agni drove Diya to the surprise location. Her parents had called him earlier, hinting at something special they had planned for her.
Diya sat in the passenger seat, her face glowing with the excitement of the day’s events. “Agni, where are we going?” she asked for the third time, her tone playful yet curious.
Agni smirked, keeping his eyes on the road. “Patience, birthday girl. You’ll find out soon.”
Her eyebrows arched. “You’re in on this too, aren’t you?”
He chuckled. “Maybe.”
When they arrived, Agni parked the car outside a beautifully decorated banquet hall. Strings of fairy lights adorned the entrance, and a soft melody played in the background. Diya stepped out of the car, her breath catching at the sight.
“Agni…” she began, but he gestured for her to follow him inside.
As they walked in, the lights dimmed, and a chorus of voices rang out:
“Happy Birthday, Diya!”
The hall was filled with her closest friends, relatives, and, of course, her parents, all beaming at her. Balloons in shades of gold and white floated around the room, and a large cake sat in the center of the room, surrounded by candles.
Diya turned to Agni, her eyes wide with surprise. “You knew about this?”
He nodded, his smile softening. “Your parents called me earlier. They wanted to make sure you weren’t alone today. And honestly, I didn’t want you to miss this.”
