"For all the girls who crave a love that's gentle in the daylight yet consuming in the dark. The kind of man who holds your hand with warmth, speaks with quiet devotion, and protects you like his own heart-until the door closes. Then, he's all fire...
An hour later, Diya was dressed in a simple yet elegant salwar kameez, her hair tied loosely. The pendant around her neck felt like a small piece of him with her. She stepped out of the house to find Agni waiting by his car, leaning casually against it, his uniform replaced with a crisp shirt and jeans.

His outfit
He straightened up when he saw her, his face lighting up with a warm smile. "Good morning again," he said, his voice filled with a gentle warmth that made her heart skip a beat.
"Good morning," she replied, walking up to him. "You're early."
"I couldn’t wait," he admitted with a sheepish grin. "Shall we?"
He opened the car door for her, and she stepped in, feeling a rush of excitement. The drive was filled with lighthearted conversation, a comfortable silence occasionally falling between them.
They stopped at a quaint little café on the outskirts of the city, a place Diya had never been to before. It was cozy, with a small garden outside and the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. Agni led her to a table by the window, where they could see the trees swaying gently in the morning breeze.
As they sat down, Agni reached across the table, his fingers brushing hers lightly. “Last night was just the beginning, Diya,” he said softly, his voice low and sincere. “I want to make every moment of your life as special as I can.”
Diya looked at him, her heart swelling with affection. “You already have, Agni. You’ve given me more than I ever expected.”
They shared a quiet smile, the world outside fading away as they sat together, lost in the promise of a love that was only beginning to unfold.
After breakfast, Agni turned to Diya as they sat in the car. “There’s one more thing I’d like to do today, if you don’t mind,” he said with a soft smile.
Diya tilted her head curiously. “What’s that?”
Agni’s eyes sparkled. “I want to take you to the mandir. I feel like it’s the perfect way to begin your birthday—seeking blessings for you, for us.”
Diya’s heart warmed at his thoughtfulness, and she nodded. “I’d love that, Agni.”
The mandir was a short drive away, nestled amidst lush greenery. The morning air was crisp, and the sound of temple bells echoed gently, creating a serene atmosphere. Diya stepped out of the car, adjusting her dupatta , and glanced up at the grand entrance of the temple.
Agni walked beside her, carrying a small puja thali he had managed from a nearby stall. As they climbed the marble steps, he noticed Diya stealing a glance at him, her expression soft and filled with admiration.
"You're staring", he teased lightly.
She smiled, unbothered by his observation. " I'm just amazed. You keep surprising me, Agni. Every little thing you do, every little gesture— it makes me feel...special "
He stopped mid-way, turning to face her. " Because you are, Diya. I may not say it often , but you mean so much to me. And I want every day of your life to reflect that ".
Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she nodded, not finding the right words to respond. They continued their way up, side by side, their hearts connecting quietly.
Inside the mandir, the atmosphere was was calm and divine. They stood before the idol of the deity, folding their hands for prayer. Agni closed his eyes, silently seeking blessings for Diya's happiness , their growing bond, and the journey they were about to embark on together.
Diya glanced sideways at him, her own prayers lingering on his presence in her life. She whispered slowly, "Thank you God, for bringing him to me".
After the aarti, the priest came forward, offering them prasad. Agni took a small portion , and held it out to Diya, feeding her first. She smiled shyly, doing the same for him in return .
As they walked back to the car, his voice soft. "Diya, I've always believed in strength, discipline and order. But with you , I've learnt something new - you've taught me that love and faith can just as powerful."
She paused, looked up at him, her eyes glistening with emotions. " And you've shown me what it means truly cared for, Agni. I never thought I'd find someone who'll understand me like you do."
He reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers. "Let's keep building this, Diya. Together".
Diya sat gracefully in the passenger seat of Agni's car, her eyes sparkling with a sense of purpose. "I want to take you somewhere." She said softly. "But first stop at the bakery shop ".
Agni nodded without any hesitation, steering the car to the bakery she mentioned. He pulled over and watched Diya as she stepped out. She moved with an ease and confidence that he couldn't help but admire. A few moments later, she returned, her arms laden with boxes full of chocolates and pastries, a small, satisfied smile on her face.
Agni raised an eyebrow as she settled back into her seat. "That's quite a hall", he teased. "What's the plan ?"
Diya shot him with a knowing smile "You'll see".
Their first stop was at the NGO where Diya oftened volunteered. As they pulled into the modest compund, a group of children and stuffs came rushing out to greet her. Diya stepped out of the car, her face lighting up as she handed out the chocolates and pastries.
The children's laughter and cheerful voices filled the air as they hugged her and excitedly tore into the treats. Agni leaned against the car, and watching her interact with them. She crouched to their level , her voice full of warmth as she asked them about their day and their studies.
"She's amazing", one of the NGO staff members commented standing beside Agni.
Agni glanced at the man and nodded. "She really is".
Their next stop was a slum area on the outskirts of the city. Diya stepped out of the car again, this time with a bag she had packed earlier in the day. The children from the area, many of them who came to learn dance from her, ran up to greet her with wide smiles and shining eyes.
"Didi !!!" they chorused, their voices echoing with joy.
