(Malfoy Manor)

"You want to leave Mia here so you can confront Quirrell, who also might be the Dark lord?" Lucius asked.

Severus nodded. "I do. I believe if I confront him now, maybe we can stop a war before it gets too out of hand."

Lucius sighed heavily. "Be safe, my friend. I will be telling Mia you ran to do some last-minute shopping."

"Thank you, Lucius."

(Hogwarts)

Severus barges into the defense of the dark arts room, jumping Quirrell.

"Jumpy, aren't we?"

"S-s-severus, I t-thought you l-left."

"Cut the act, Quirrell. I know you're faking. I'm more interested in why you were trying to get past Fluffy a couple of weeks ago."

Quirrell shook. "I d-dont k-know what you are t-talking about."

Severus sighed. "Where is the Dark Lord, Quirrell. I know you know."

A broken voice was heard. "Reveal me."

Quirrell unwrapped his turban to reveal a second face on the back of his head.

"That's me?!" Tom yelled.

"Someone's gone downhill." James muttered.

"Sssseverus. I see you have found me. I would say it is wonderful to see you, but you have betrayed me by raising the girl who is destined to destroy me." Voldemort said.

Severus took a deep breath. "I don't believe the prophecy to be true, my lord. There are also...other things that have come to light."

"What do you speak about Severus?"

"My Lord, before the school year started, I came across a panting in Knockturn Alley."

Voldemort's eyes squinted. "And what does that have to do with anything?"

Severus pulled out the painting. "It is of you and your parents, my lord."

Voldemort looked at the painting and sneered. "This is not me, Merope, or that filthy muggle."

"No, my lord, I believe you must see my memories to understand fully, but these were your adoptive parents. Your adoptive father was biologically your uncle, Merope's brother."

He pulled memories from his head and placed them in the classroom pensive. "Please look, my lord, I believe this will change everything."

Quirrell dipped his head back to place Voldemort's face in the pensive. After a couple of minutes, he came up.

"This...is not right.  I have no recollection of any of these people. I was told I was never wanted and lived in the orphanage my whole life." Voldemort said.

Severus shook his head. "Dumbledore is behind all of this.  He wanted to use you to get to a power source that your mother tried to protect. Lucius and I are trying to find your family, my lord."

"They would be long dead by now, Sssseverus."

"But they are not. Your mother had a portrait created, and it had yet to activate. This means she is not dead.  I can't imagine Dumbledore killed her in case he needed her ability for something. I believe our next step should be getting you into your own body. We can make you Aseop Gaunt again and look for your family."

The Dark Lord nodded. "I do agree with you. However, I have made too many horcruxes. I'm not all there in the head as I once was. You and Lucius must find my old journal from my school days. It has the younger version of me before I split my soul. I will be able to take over that form."

"Horcruxes?!" Yelled the great hall.

"We will search for it immediately." Severus said.

"Before you go, Severus. I would like to see the memories from my mother's vault again."
