"Rory? Is that really you?" Rory turned around hearing someone call her name.

And it was the least of her expectations to see Mike. Along with her best friend Syra.

I almost forgot how his voice sounded.
She thought realizing that she couldn't recognize that it was Mike if she hadn't turned to look at him.

Rory carefully observed them. The way Syra clings onto his arm and suddenly lets go with an uncomfortable expression tells a tea.
She is her best friend but she knows it was her that Mike was cheating with.

Nevertheless. She hoped Syra was just seduced despite all the evidence. So she still tried to reach out and even asked to stay with her the night she ran away.

But her lying about her grandparents coming over was completely bulllsh*t because she always talks about how she hates her grandparents.

"H-how are you?" Syra asked as she and Mike sat down across Rory.

"I'm good." She said as she took a sip from her smoothie while battling stares with Mike.

Mike was looking at her the way she looked at her before and made Rory fall for him. Maybe if she never left, she would've still fallen for that trapping gaze.

But not anymore. So she simply stared back at him blankly as if telling him that it's never gonna work between them again.

"We heard about what happened from Kyla. I can't believe you have to go through that." Syra said empathetically and Rory felt like she was gonna puke because it sounded so fake.

"You should've called me. I was so worried about you." Mike adds and gives her a worried gaze.

Rory frowned and also looked at Syra's face. She didn't think it would infuriate her seeing them sitting side by side while straight up lying about how they are worried and care about her.

They both cheated on her. They also know that she knew but they just kept pretending as if nothing was wrong and they are still friends and in a relationship.

It was making her more angry than having almost killed by Johann. Because at least she knows that neither Isac nor Johann lied to her. Even Kali and the boys whom she hardly kn never once lied to her. They were more honest compared to the ones she spent almost half of her life with.

Syra who had been her friend since first grade. And Mike whom she dated for nearly five years.
Despite those years, they find it very easy to lie on her face and think she's too dumb to get the gist of reality.

"Can you both fu** off?" Rory suddenly blurted out which literally caught Syra and Mike off guard.

Rory would've taken a picture of their reactions. Because it was on point.

"Baby. What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?" Mike asks and tries to hold her hand but Rory harshly swatted away. Her eyes look as if they are murdering him in her mind and Syra was quick to frown about it.

"It's Rory for you!" She said to him firmly before turning to Syra.

"Why don't we finish this once and for all. I know that you're both cheating on me! And I don't even fu**ing care anymore!" She said to her and turned back to Mike.

Wearing a rather familiar cynical expression she had seen Johann worn before.

"Fu** her all you want. She means nothing to me anymore! You got a small di** so I guess her standard is really low to actually last with you." She spat with spite before she stood up and walked away from them with overflowing confidence.
