Rory's third subject just ended and it was time for her to get lunch. Which she already expected to not go as she would like it to.
Either way. She's not one to back off because she's afraid of bullies. So she decided to run to the cafeteria to check what's there to eat.
Rory waited on the line just like other students. Some of them offered for her to cut the line but she straight up refused.
As she was getting closer. She noticed one of the staff that was putting the food on the plates looked very familiar. And when she got closer...
"Kali?" She called and the girl looked around at first before she spotted Rory among the line.
Kali cheerfully waved at her and her smile grew big.
"Wow! I didn't expect you to go to this school! I guess you're rich rich!" The girl said with a giddy tone while literally putting chunks of meat on her plate.
"I'm finishing up my last semester. Since when did you get a job here?" She asked.
"I started today. Oh! And Adam and Emil also work here too. You'll see them around." She said with excitement.
"Okay. I'll see you guys around." Rory chuckled as she continued on the line.
She would've talked to Kali more but the line is long so it wouldn't be best for her to chitchat there while the others behind her are waiting for food.
Eventually. She found a spot where to eat but some of the students who were sitting there suddenly left because they were intimidated by her presence.
Rory decides to start eating because she knows it won't be long before-----
"Oh look. See who came by to join us!" Rory's face immediately morphed into a frown hearing another familiar voice.
She didn't have to turn around and just continued eating while they started sitting on the empty seats. Then one of them suddenly put an arm on her shoulder like they've been close since childhood.
"Girl! Why haven't you called us when you left? What the fu** were you thinking of running away from us like that?!" She said with the most annoying voice and Rory suddenly imagined banging her face on her food.
Rory looked at her coldly and finally noticed the whole group surrounding her. Including Mike and Syra.
"You seemed like you thought of me a lot, Tina." Rory said in a fake tone and removed her arm from her shoulders.
She wanted to eat more but it seems that she had already lost her appetite.
"So where'd you go?" Another girl from the group asked.
"I went to a place where it's none of your fu**ing business." Rory responded with sarcasm and she hoped she could capture it when their expressions changed.
"Da*n girl! What did that town did to make you grow a d*ck?!" Luther, Charlie's sidekick spoke in a playful tone.
He's everyone's sidekick and would do everything to get on their good side just so he can be included in the group.
"Told you! Maybe our Rory killed her for good but something else came back in return." Syra rebutted and intentionally sat on Mike's lap when Rory turned to her.
"So it wasn't a rumor?" Charlie chuckled and looked at Rory's reaction. "I heard someone tried to kill you but they said it wasn't true." He said and grinned at the girl.
Rory's angry expression slowly changed. She looks crazy and Tina and the other girl felt chills when she suddenly smiled and giggled at Charlie.
"I heard someone tried to kill me too. Odd don't you think? I wonder where that came from." Rory chuckled and blinks her eyes as she turned to Syra.
"I guess the rumors wouldn't spread if some lamebrain doesn't casually say it anywhere to get attention."
"Are you cursing me?!" Syra suddenly snapped and slammed her hands on the table as she stood up.
"Relax, b**ch! I'm just calling you an idiot!" Rory said so causally like she was born to say it.
Syra's face became red and she was about to say something else when Tina spoke.
"You've changed Rory. You're no longer the nice girl I know." She said in a soft tone you'll almost be deceived if you're too easy.
But Rory had grown out of the nice girl and she just wants to smash a hammer on Tina's face to lessen toxicity in the globe.
"I know. I must've banged my head and realized the whole world is occupied by mutated garbage with mouths." Rory matched her tone as she said it to her face and Tina's expression looks baffled.
Rory stands up and picks up her tray. She was about to leave but Charlie suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"We're not done talking yet. Why don't you sit back." He said as is commanding her.
Rory would've been intimidated if it's the old her. Charlie always had that effect on her. But after getting choked by a killer made her realize that there are more things scarier than a puny boy hiding under his father's cloak for clout.
"I think we're done talking." She said firmly and tried to pull her wrist but Charlie had a tight grip.
"He said we're not done! So sit down!" The other girl, Lucy added in a bit**y tone the author was almost reluctant to include her in the story. But why not.
"Let go or I'm gonna fucking smash this tray on your face." Rory warns and Charlie suddenly smirked.
"You can't do that. I know you." He said which almost felt deja vu. It's like Johann saying she can't shoot him.
But she did.
So Rory with little to no hesitation suddenly banged the tray of food on Charlie's face. It made not just everyone on their table gasp in surprise but also everyone in the cafeteria who saw it.
Rory's face was more terrifying because she looks literally angry but her lips were smiling.
"You don't fucking know me, Charlie!" Rory muttered with gritted teeth.
"What the fu**!!!" Charlie snapped in anger as he stood up face to face with the small girl.
But it didn't scare her. If anything, this only made Rory more excited.
"What?! Bitter to taste your own medicine huh? Are you gonna cry to your father about it?!" She mocked.
Charlie was about to grab her arm but Rory caught his wrist quickly and twisted it. Then she pushed him to the table making both Tina and Lucy back away.
"I've fu**ing returned bitches! Bring on your goddamn welcome party and I'll give it back twice the fun!" Rory said to them almost mimicking a little of the way Jim Carrey spoke from his show The Mask.
It was creepy because Rory's expression was nearly psychotic the only thing missing is a knife on her hand.
Rory eventually lets go of Charlie before she walks away with the biggest smile that scared off everyone on her way.
As soon as she left the cafeteria, Rory let out a deep breath and held her chest. She could feel her heart beating so fast it probably wants to leave her body.
"My best friend will be proud."
