Chapter 27

You woke up at five in the morning and stretched. Steve was still blissfully asleep, but you had things to do. You really wanted to get started on the data. You looked down and studied his face, and he seemed so innocent. Tibbs was curled up into his back sleeping, seeming content as well. Almost as though Steve could feel you watching him, he slowly opened his eyes and looked at you with a broad smile on his face.
"Good morning beautiful" he reached out and traced the curves of your face with his fingers, and brushed your hair away from your face. "Don't tell me you were going to go to work already" he said, his voice still raspy from his sleep.
"Mission reports and data can't review themselves" you giggled.
"Hmm" he hummed.
"What?" you asked.
"Come here" he pulled softly on your arm and you laid down again. His lips brushed against your own as he moved his body so he was more on top of you, and he took his time memorizing your lips before he deepened the kiss. You hummed happily into his mouth and he gave a soft moan. "I love you" he pulled back and gave a brilliant smile. "Tonight though, just the two of us" he added, cupping your cheek.
"And Tibbs" you corrected him.
"And Tibbs, in the next room" he chuckled. You giggled and leaned up and kissed him softly on the lips.
"You've got yourself a deal, captain" you purred. "I better get ready for the office" you gave him one final kiss and his hands went to your hips and he tucked his fingers under the waistband of your panties.
"These first" Steve said with a gruff voice.
"You want my panties again?" you asked in surprise.
"Damn straight I do. I'm starting a collection" he grinned.
"Why don't I get you a pair of clean ones?" you suggested.
"I want those ones, they'll still be warm" he smirked.
"What difference does that make?" you giggled.
"What I'm going to do with them" he said, his voice going gravelly. You flushed but stood up and pulled your emerald green panties slowly and he licked his lips in anticipation. Once you unhooked them from your feet you folded them and handed them to him with flushed cheeks. He took them victoriously and sat up in bed, it was clear according to the blanket he was quite turned on at the moment. "Can you be a little late?" Steve asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"No, this needs to be done," you giggled with a shake of your head.
"Alright, I'll head back up to my place and start getting ready for my mission" he sighed. "I'll see you at your break," he added while getting out of bed.
"Will I be getting any of my underwear back?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Once I wash it and feel satisfied" he chuckled as he went to the end of the bed and started getting dressed again.
"I'll see you soon" you winked, giving him a playful spank on the butt. He burst out laughing and gave you a playful swat in retaliation and you yelped in surprise. You took off the last of your clothes on the way to the bathroom and you heard Steve groan, as though it was painful for him to leave.
"Hey, you need to lock the door!" Steve called as you turned on the shower.
"It'll be fine for a few minutes" you called back and got in. You heard the door rattle as Steve came in and he stood outside the shower with his arms crossed looking at you through the glass door separating the two of you. "What are you doing?" you asked as you put shampoo in your hair.
"Do you have an extra key?" he asked worriedly.
"Yes, on my keyring. You can just have it" you nodded. "My keys are by the front door," you added.
"Good, I'll replace it with one of mine. That way you can come up to my place anytime" he nodded, but continued watching you.
"Are you having fun?" you giggled.
"Debating if there's enough room in there for two," he admitted with a smirk.

"There probably is, but this is a quick shower" you told him. "I need to get to work," you added.
"You know you don't start until nine, right?" he asked.
"If I want to see you before you go on your mission, I need to start earlier" you shrugged and started rinsing out your hair. You grabbed the soap and put it on your loofah and started washing as quickly as possible.
"I'll see you at the office" Steve opened the door to the shower and water sprayed him as he leaned in for a kiss. You gave him a quick kiss but he stayed there waiting, so you kissed him again and deepened it. He hummed happily and pulled away after a few minutes. You opened your eyes and he was still there with a playful smile on his face, and his shirt was wet. "Next time I'm joining you" he warned and with that he backed out and closed the door behind him.

After finishing your shower you found your spare key missing, and it was replaced with a new one that had the American flag on it and you giggled knowing that it belonged to Steve. You quickly dried your hair and walked around your apartment naked as you got ready for your day. Tibbs was snacking on something that you assumed Steve gave to him, and seemed happy for the moment. You put on your makeup and put your hair up in a strict bun before going to the bedroom to put on a button up rose printed dress, and a pair of Mary jane heels before grabbing your pass and Tibbs and heading to breakfast.

Breakfast was a quick affair and before you knew it you had your 40 ounce mug of coffee sweetened to your taste, and a matching one with water so you didn't get dehydrated and went to the office with Tibbs on your heels. He waited patiently for you to put him in his enclosure, and then you set to work. There was endless amounts of data, and you were impressed the team seemed to have gotten so much. You opened your spreadsheets and dived right in.
You started working shortly after six, and at ten minutes to nine the door opened and you looked up over your computer to see Steve strutting in, wearing his Captain America uniform. He looked like he had taken a shower, and it smelled like he had put cedar oil in his beard.
"Hello love of my life" he cooed to you as he got closer.
"Hello love" you giggled. "Someone's got some swagger in his step" you wiggled your eyebrows.
"That's because I looked at my mission docket and it's a quick and easy one today. Which means..." he said as he came up behind you and bent forward and started to caress your neck with soft kisses. "More time with me dame" he nipped at your earlobe and you let out a soft moan. "More time at the garden center and repotting some plants. We will get good and dirty and then we will come back inside and maybe take a shower together" he nipped at the skin of your neck and started peppering it with kisses again. "Then I'm going to bring you into the bedroom and I'm going to make you cum on my tongue, and then on my..." he stopped mid sentence as the door opened again.
"You're late for your break" Tony said, crossing his arms.
"We were having a moment," Steve said, seeming a little cross with Tony.
"I can see that, but time is money. Let's go" Tony sighed and looked at his watch. "I'm already paying her overtime, the least you can do is let her have a small break with the rest of the family," Tony huffed.
"I'm coming" you gave a bright smile and turned your head to look at Steve and you kissed his cheek. "Let's go love" you cooed to him and he couldn't keep his glower any longer. He gave his boyish smile and nodded. You turned your chair to look at Tibbs who already had his little hands up waiting to be picked up and you got up to grab him. He made a small racket of excitement, knowing it was time for his second breakfast.
"Let me get him dove, he might mess up your pretty dress" Steve took Tibbs from your arms immediately. You brushed off your dress and then turned to follow Tony with Steve quickly behind you.
"There they are!" Bucky said with a large grin on his face. Tibbs started getting overly excited and Steve brought him over.
"We were waiting on you" Vision gave a rare smile.
"Sorry to keep you waiting" you said quickly and Steve pulled out a seat for you. You sat down and he pushed you in.
"Good morning, you seem pleased this morning" Nat gave a playful smile.
"I am. Work is going swimmingly, and I had my handsome boyfriend came to visit me... now I'm having coffee with all of you" you beamed.
"I love the dress!" Wanda cooed.
"I was thinking the same thing. Brings out the right pop of color in the office" Pepper added.
"I don't know. I have these beautiful flowers in the office that add a lot of color too" you looked at Steve lovingly.
"Your secret admirer needs to update the bouquet" Steve chuckled.
"Secret admirer indeed" you giggled. Steve made your coffee perfectly and placed it in front of you, while Bucky made a small plate for Tibbs who seemed more than happy to munch away. Everyone started eating, while Steve put his left hand on your thigh and gave a little squeeze. You shimmied your legs together and he gave a wicked grin.
"How was your date?" you asked Sam who gave a wide smile in spite of himself.
"My girl Jillian agreed to go steady. I'm coming home to visit her tonight" Sam admitted.
"Don't overdo it" Bucky said softly.
"Says the single one" Sam countered quickly.
"I have some feelers out," Bucky flushed, looking at you.
"Oh, you mean Emily?" you asked him.
"She's pretty" he nodded and you giggled.
"She's going to be over the moon if you're interested," you admitted.
"Send me her contact details" Bucky said with a slight flush still on his cheeks.
"Don't let me regret this" you warned him, and took out your phone to send it to him.
