Link's Perspective-

"There he is. Link. You've probably never heard his name before as he's a quiet kid who keeps to himself.

He only talks if he absolutely needs to. Besides that, he sits in silence and just gets his work done, forever listening to his music through his headphones.

Many think he's mute, most just don't know he's even there.

But here he is, in the library, writing his essay- "

"Zelda, will you stop that?" Link looks up, glaring at his friend.

Zelda giggles, "Sorry, I'm just messing with you."

"You're distracting me."

Zelda shrugs.

"Did you even finish writing your essay?"

"Yes. I'll have you know I am a productive student." Zelda smiles.

Link snorts and Zelda glares at him.

Her phone then buzzed and she jumped, realizing it was her alarm telling her to get to the school's journalism club.

"Shoot, I have to go. Talk later?" Zelda asks hurriedly, gathering her things.

"Yeah, no sweat."

Zelda smiles and leaves.

Link puts on his headphones and shuffles his playlist, getting back to work.

-

Later, Link stopped by the journalism classroom to see Zelda looking a bit stressed as she typed away at her computer.

Link walked in and he tapped her shoulder.

She jumped and sighed as she saw it was her friend.

"Link, I need your help with something." She said quickly.

Link tilts his head.

"You know how you did journalism last year before joining fencing?"

Link nods.

"Well I need your help. This girl is absent and she was supposed to do an article on the swimming team before their big game this weekend against the rivaling school. Can you do it? I know you're not officially a part of the club but please we need to get this done."

"Yeah, course, don't worry about it."

Zelda smiles and hugs him.

Link grumbles and wiggles out of her arms.

"What do I have to do?" Link asked.

"Interview the captain."

Link groans.

Zelda sighs.

"Look, I know you don't like talking to people that much but it's really not that bad, I promise!"

"Fine, what do I have to ask him?"

"Just these questions. Their practice is held tomorrow." Zelda said, handing Link a piece of paper that had the location of the practice, the name of the swim team's captain, and some questions.

Link grumbles and Zelda sighs.

"Look I know you don't want to but please?" Zelda shows him her puppy dog eyes.

"Alright, fine. But you owe me big time." Link snapped.

Zelda giggles.

The Next Day-

After school, Link drove to the local YMCA which, according to Zelda, was where the swim team held their practices.

He walked in and opened the door to the pool, immediately getting flooded with the smell of chlorine.

He groans, internally cursing Zelda for having him do this.

No, I'm doing this to help a friend. ..whatever, let's just get this over with.

The door shut behind him and he saw some of the guys swimming, one adult, who Link assumed was the coach, was giving some tips to a couple of the swimmers, and he saw one person sitting near the end of the pool cheering his teammates on.

He was pretty big himself and had red hair pulled up into a messy bun. He was saying encouraging words and supporting his friends.

Okay, who am I looking for? Link thought, taking out the sticky note Zelda gave him.

He read the name and walked over to the Coach.

"Hi there, who might you be?" The Coach asked.

"Um..I'm here for the school paper. I need to interview the swim captain. His name is...Si..don?" Link tilted his head when reading what Zelda had written.

"Ah yes! He's right there, the ginger."

Link glanced over at the swimmer who was getting in the water and saying encouragements to the guy next to him.

Link walked over, sitting down at a nearby bench leaning up against the wall.

When the ginger haired swimmer made it back to the wall after doing a lap, Link walked over.

"Er- hi. I'm here for the school paper, I'm supposed to interview you." Link said in a quiet voice.

Sidon smiled.

"Oh- hi! I'm Sidon, you are?"

"Link."
