Sidon's Perspective-

After the movie, Sidon and Yona walked out. Neither really spoke, they were both very awkward and mostly coming here just cause their friends set them up.

"So do we wanna go find food someplace?" Kyle asked, his arm around Hannah.

"I kinda wanted to get home." Sidon said, pulling out his phone.

"Oh come on, let's have some fun!" Kyle said, pushing Sidon's phone down.

Sidon sighs, "Kyle, you can't force me into doing this. At least make it so it's just us like you told me when you invited me here."

"It's not that bad, we'll just head to a diner and back home again."

They split up to their separate vehicles and Sidon was pretty mad when driving with Kyle.

"So how's Yona?"

"Why did you do this, man?" Sidon asked, glaring at Kyle.

"What do you mean? I'm trying to make you feel better. About time you got a date."

"No, I'm- I'm tired of you doing this. This is what always happens, you keep acting like you care but then just give an excuse to hang out with your girlfriend. You say it's for me to set me up but you never ask if I'm okay with it. Yona's nice, sure, but- can't you actually care and listen to me?"

"I do listen to you!"

"About what? Cause most of the time it seems like we're either bottling up our feelings or I just help you with Hannah." Sidon huffed, folding his arms.

Kyle frowned.

"Will you stop being so negative and try and enjoy yourself? You're always this negative whenever I do something nice for you."

"Nice? How is this nice?! You know I hate it when you set me up."

"This is supposed to make you feel better!"

"You don't even know what was wrong in the first place!" Sidon snapped.

Kyle shut up and Sidon sighed.

"Can you just drop me off at home." Sidon said in a quiet voice.

Kyle hesitated but turned on his turn signal and made a U-turn, driving towards Sidon's place.

-

Sidon stepped out of Kyle's car and Kyle looked up at him.

"Wait." Kyle stepped out of his car. Sidon turned around and Kyle sighed.

"Look, I'm really sorry for making you do that. It was a stupid thing for me to force you into that."

Sidon folded his arms.

"And I'm sorry for making this stuff about me when you were in a bad space. Do you...want to talk?"

Sidon sighed, "I'm okay, Kyle. Thanks for dropping me off."

"Sidon- "

"I'm okay man." Sidon smiled, "I'm just gonna go for a swim."

"But it's so late."

"I have a small pool in the backyard that I can use. I'll have someone out there to make sure I don't drown or anything."

Kyle bit his lip but he didn't say anything.

"See you on Monday, I guess." Sidon muttered.

"Er- yeah..."

Sidon walked inside and strolled up to his room where he changed into his swimsuit. He then walked outside and his father was in the living room to keep an eye on him.

Sidon sighed as he stepped into the pool, slowly lowering himself into the cool water.

He sat still for a good minute, thinking about everything.

I feel so bad for Kyle, but he's kinda a shitty friend. Maybe it'll get better if he breaks up with Hannah since she's not the best girlfriend. Sidon hummed and he shrugged before his mind dawned on someone.

His eyes widened and he felt a wave of guilt wash over him.
