As evening descended over Seoul, I decided it was time to venture out for some much-needed groceries. The apartment, while cozy, lacked the essentials beyond what I had brought from home. Stepping into the bustling convenience store, I grabbed a basket and began perusing the aisles, making mental notes of what I needed.

Standing in line at the checkout, I felt the sudden urge to turn around. Turning around, I was taken aback to see him again—the same man from this morning. He wore the familiar black mask and hoodie, his eyes meeting mine with a mixture of surprise and anticipation.

"Oh hey, you're the guy from this morning, right?" I greeted him, a smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.

He nodded, his own smile hidden behind the mask. "Yeah, that's me. Did you remember your wallet this time?" His voice carried a hint of playful teasing.

I chuckled, slightly embarrassed. "I did, thankfully. This morning was just a one-time thing, okay? Usually I'm not this forgetful."

We both proceeded to pay for our items, exchanging small talk as we did. As we prepared to part ways, we noticed the heavy rain pouring outside. The sound of raindrops drumming against the store's roof filled the air.

"Looks like we're in for a downpour," he remarked, glancing towards the door.

"Yeah, it's really coming down," I replied, peering through the glass. "I guess we'll have to wait it out a bit."

We found a spot near the entrance where we could wait comfortably. The awkwardness of the situation dissolved as we engaged in conversation. He shared anecdotes about living in Seoul, and I recounted my experiences exploring the city.

I glanced around, noticing the other customers going about their business, oblivious to the small moment unfolding between us. A couple at the far end of the store browsed through snacks, their hushed conversation blending with the hum of the refrigerators. A cashier further down efficiently scanned items for an elderly woman with a colorful umbrella propped beside her shopping basket.

After some time, a lull in our conversation prompted me to realize that we hadn't properly introduced ourselves.

"You know, I don't think we've formally introduced ourselves," I said, breaking the silence. "I'm Chloe."

His gaze softened, and for a moment, he seemed contemplative. Then, extending his hand, he replied, "Hello Chloe, I am..."

The pause that followed was pregnant with curiosity. I couldn't help but wonder about his name, about who he was beyond this chance encounter in a convenience store. His hand hung in the air, waiting to complete the introduction, and I found myself holding my breath, eager to hear his response.

As I waited, I studied his features more closely. Despite the mask, his eyes conveyed a warmth and familiarity that drew me in. His casual demeanor belied a sense of presence, as if he carried with him stories and experiences that were waiting to be shared.

As the heavy rain continued to drum against the store's roof, a soft glow from the fluorescent lights cast a warm ambiance over our impromptu meeting spot. The air inside was filled with the faint scent of freshly brewed coffee and the lingering aroma of baked goods from the nearby bakery section. Despite the downpour outside, inside the store felt cozy and sheltered, almost intimate in its shared solitude with this stranger.

Turning back to him, I found him still standing there, his hand extended in a gesture of introduction. His eyes met mine with a mix of curiosity and kindness, inviting me into a world that felt unexpectedly familiar yet tinged with mystery.

"I am..." he began again, his voice soft yet carrying a depth that hinted at layers beneath the surface.
