As we approached the hotel, the group fell into a natural rhythm of conversation and laughter, the energy from the concert still vibrant in the air. Heeseung and I walked side by side, the warmth of his presence comforting. I could feel the slight thrill every time our hands brushed against each other, and I noticed Heeseung's relaxed demeanor seemed to reflect his satisfaction with our closeness.

Jake was not far behind, occasionally glancing our way. Heeseung, ever perceptive, seemed to be aware of Jake's furtive looks but chose not to let it bother him. His focus remained on me, his demeanor calm and collected despite the tension in the air.

As we entered the hotel lobby, Jungwon approached me with a serious expression on his face. The other members quickly picked up on the interaction and exchanged curious glances, some of them even teasingly nudging Jungwon and making light-hearted comments. Despite their playful banter, it was clear that Jungwon was preoccupied with something important.

"Hey, Chloe, do you have a moment to talk alone?" Jungwon asked, his voice steady but urgent.

I glanced at him, noting the seriousness in his eyes. "Sure, we can go to my room or do you prefer yours?" I offered.

Jungwon thought for a moment before responding. "Yours is fine."

I noticed Jake's gaze shifting between Jungwon and me, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern. It was evident he was trying to understand the nature of our conversation, and his worry seemed to be growing. Heeseung, standing close beside me, appeared noticeably tense. His eyes flickered toward Jungwon and Jake, his posture slightly rigid as if bracing for something.

Jungwon and I made our way to the elevators, the murmur of the group's chatter fading behind us. The awkward silence in the elevator was filled with the soft hum of the machinery and the distant echoes of the lively hotel lobby.

Once we reached my room, Jungwon followed me inside. I closed the door behind us, glancing at him with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"What's up?" I asked as I led him to a seat.

As I settled into a chair across from Jungwon, he took a deep breath, his expression serious. He looked around the room briefly, as if ensuring we were alone, before focusing back on me.

"Chloe," he began cautiously, "I need to ask you something important. Is there... anything going on between you and Jake or Heeseung? I mean, any feelings or... situations that we should be aware of?"

His question was carefully phrased, and I could tell he was trying to gauge the situation without prying too much. The concern in his eyes was genuine, and it was clear that he was seeking clarity to avoid any potential issues within the group.

I regarded Jungwon for a moment, processing his question. "Did Jake or Heeseung say something?" I asked, trying to understand the context of his inquiry.

Jungwon shook his head slightly. "No, they haven't mentioned anything directly. It's more about the way things seem between you all. I just want to make sure that everything's okay and that there aren't any misunderstandings or issues."

His tone was calm, but his eyes betrayed a hint of worry. It was clear that he was concerned about the dynamics within the group and wanted to ensure that no one was feeling uncomfortable or conflicted.

I hesitated, feeling the weight of Jungwon's intense gaze on me. "I... uuuh..." I began, searching for the right words. His focused attention was compelling, and I felt an urge to be honest, despite the uncertainty I felt.

Jungwon's eyes remained fixed on mine, conveying a mix of concern and anticipation. He was clearly waiting for me to open up, and the intensity of his stare made it difficult to evade his questions.
