37: Home Again

Returning home felt both familiar and strange. The sights and sounds of my neighborhood welcomed me back, and it was comforting to be in my own space again. I quickly settled back into my daily routine, balancing work and other responsibilities while still holding onto the memories of my time in Korea.

I continued to follow Enhypen closely, eagerly watching their new releases and keeping up with their activities. It felt like a way to stay connected to the wonderful experience I had with them. From time to time, I even got to catch up with the members. We'd message each other occasionally, and when schedules allowed, we'd jump online to play games together.

Jake and Heeseung, in particular, stayed in frequent contact. We'd chat and call regularly, catching up on life and sharing our latest adventures. Heeseung had even gotten me back into playing League of Legends. We played together often, with me as the ADC and him as my supportive bot lane partner. It felt great to have his guidance and support, making the game even more enjoyable. Without Heeseung, I would have been a bit lost in the game, but his support made a huge difference.

As I spent more time interacting with Heeseung, both online and through our calls, I couldn't help but notice a shift in my feelings. There were moments when I caught myself smiling at his messages or feeling a flutter of excitement whenever our calls were scheduled. It was subtle, but I began to suspect that I might be developing some feelings for him.

I found myself wondering whether what I was experiencing was more than just a friendly crush. Maybe it was the closeness of our conversations, the way he seemed to understand me so well, or simply the joy of sharing interests and experiences. I wasn't entirely sure if it was just a small crush or something deeper. The line between admiration and affection felt blurred, and it left me contemplating what these feelings meant and where they might lead.

One evening, as I was winding down after a long day, Heeseung called. His excitement was palpable through the phone.

"Hey Chloe, guess what?"

"What's up, Heeseung?" I replied, curious.

"We're coming to your country for a concert!"

My heart skipped a beat. "Really? That's amazing! I can't wait to see you guys perform again."

"Actually, I've already secured a ticket for you. It's right in the front row, near the stage."

I was overwhelmed. "Heeseung, you didn't have to do that. Let me at least pay you back for it."

"Either you accept my gift and come to the concert, or I've spent all that money for nothing. Oh, and since the concert isn't exactly close to your place, I've also arranged a hotel room for you in the same hotel we'll be staying at!"

I was completely floored. "You're really too much, you know that?" I laughed, feeling a mix of gratitude and disbelief.

"Please, just accept it. All the members will be excited to see you again. I'm excited to see you again."

"Alright, alright. I'll accept your crazy generous offer. Thank you, Heeseung. You're amazing," I said, my heart warmed by his kindness.

The next day, I received a message from Jake:

"Hey Chloe, did you hear we're having a concert in your country? Want me to get you a ticket?"

I couldn't help but laugh at his playful tone, sensing a bit of seriousness behind the joke. I replied, "No need, everything's already taken care of. I'll be there, and I can't wait."

"Awesome! See you soon!"

As I looked forward to the concert, the anticipation built up inside me. The thought of seeing the members again, especially Heeseung and Jake, filled me with joy. It was going to be an incredible experience, and I was beyond grateful for their efforts to make it happen. The bonds we had formed, the shared moments, and the support they offered made me feel truly special.
