I heard the front door open and quickly stood up to greet the members. Finally, I wasn't alone anymore. I welcomed Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, and Ni-ki as they walked in. They looked visibly tired, the exhaustion of the day evident on their faces.
Ni-ki asked, "Do you want to play some games with me?"
Sunghoon replied, "I'm going to take a shower and then rest in bed for a while."
Ni-ki glanced at Heeseung, who was looking at me, seemingly waiting for my response before giving his own.
"I don't think it's really worth it for me. I think I'll be leaving soon," I said.
Heeseung's face took on a questioning look, but he said nothing.
Ni-ki asked, "Oh, okay, where are you going?"
At that moment, there was a knock on the door, and a smiling Jake entered the apartment. "Hey Chloe, as you've noticed, we're back. Ready to go?"
Ni-ki looked at Jake and then at me with a smirk.
Heeseung raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Oh, sure," I replied.
Heeseung seemed like he wanted to say something, or rather ask, but he held back.
Turning to Ni-ki and Heeseung, I explained, "Jake wanted to show me the other apartment. I only know this one so far, and since the manager isn't around, he took the chance to invite me over."
Ni-ki nodded in understanding.
"Have fun gaming or whatever," I said with a smile, and followed Jake out of the apartment.
In the other apartment, I ran into Jungwon, who was just coming out of the bathroom. He greeted me with a bright smile that showed his dimples, making him look even more adorable.
"Ah, Jungwon, hey! As you can see, Chloe's here. I wanted to show her my room," Jake said.
"Okay, make yourself at home, Chloe. If you want, you can check out my room afterward too," Jungwon offered with a smile and a nod before heading to his room.
"Follow me," Jake said with a grin, his eyes twinkling with excitement. He seemed so happy to show me his room, reminding me of a golden retriever. His enthusiastic nature made him incredibly likable.
Once in his room, it was immediately clear that it belonged to Jake. His personality and interests were on full display. My eyes wandered around the room as he sat on his bed, watching me with a content smile.
I noticed a collection of LEGO figures. "Did you build all of these?"
He shook his head. "No, not all of them. Some of the members helped. If you want, we can build something together sometime, and I'll add it to the collection. Then I'll always have a memory of you in my room," he said, looking at me warmly.
I felt a bit shy and didn't dare look directly at him. It was a sweet gesture, but it also made me a little uncomfortable. I probably read too much into it. We hadn't known each other for long, and he was just being nice.
"If we find the time, I'd love to," I replied.
There was a brief pause. "You have a great room," I finally said.
"Thanks," Jake responded.
"Is it okay if I check out Jungwon's room now?" I asked.
Jake nodded and followed me to Jungwon's room. When we arrived, I knocked and heard Jungwon's voice from inside, "Who is it? I'm live!"
I glanced at Jake, shocked.
Jake quickly responded, "Ah, hey Jungwon, it's Jake. How much longer will you be live?"
Jungwon replied, "I'll be done soon. I'll let you know!"
"Okay!" Jake said, looking at me. "Have you eaten yet? Let's grab a snack while we wait." I nodded and followed him to the kitchen.
As we ate, Jake handed me his phone. "Look, the storm is supposed to clear up, and in a soon, flights should resume once everything is organized."
"Oh, great, thanks for the info." I felt a mix of relief and sadness. On one hand, I was glad I'd be able to go home soon. On the other, I wanted to stay in Korea, and more importantly, spend more time with ENHYPEN.
After Jake finished eating, he looked up and said, "Hey Chloe?"
"Hmm?"
"Sunghoon mentioned something today, and I wanted to ask you about it."
