29: Jungwon's Space

"Sure, what's it about, Jake?" I asked, curious.

Just then, Jungwon joined us, "Sorry for the wait, guys. Good thing Jake was here to answer you. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to start a livestream while waiting for you, Chloe. We have to be really careful, I realize that even more now."

Jake and I nodded in understanding. The thought of fans hearing a female voice in their apartment could definitely stir up rumors and questions, which would be difficult for the members. I didn't want to cause them any trouble.

Jungwon's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, "Alright, you can head to my room now." His dimples appeared as he smiled, making him look endearing.

On our way to his room, I asked, "What's Sunoo up to?"

Jake replied, "He's probably watching something. Want to stop by?"

"No, it's fine. I don't want to disturb him, and we're already heading to Jungwon's room."

In Jungwon's room, his unique charm was evident. The room had a different vibe compared to Jake's.

"Feel free to look around. If you have any questions, just ask," Jungwon said warmly.

I started to explore his room while hearing Jake and Jungwon having a light conversation in the background. After a while, I noticed some dumbbells in the corner.

"Do you work out often?" I asked Jungwon.

He laughed a little, "Well, I don't have much time for it right now because we're so busy, but whenever I get the chance, yes." I nodded, understandingly.

"Do you work out?" he asked back.

"I used to, but I've let it slide lately. Going to the gym always feels great afterward because you've accomplished something, but once you stop, it's hard to find the motivation again," I admitted, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Jungwon smiled at my honesty, "I get what you mean, but sometimes you just have to be disciplined. Motivation alone isn't always enough."

I agreed with him. Looking at the clock, I realized it was getting quite late. "Oh, it's already pretty late."

Jake reassured me, "No worries, don't stress."

"I just thought you guys might want some time to relax after working today."

Jake suggested, "We could go back to my room for a bit before you leave."

I agreed, and Jungwon and I said goodnight to each other. In Jake's room, we chatted for a while longer. Eventually, Jake brought up what he wanted to ask earlier.

"I wanted to ask you something after dinner, but then Jungwon came in," Jake said.

"Oh right, what is it?" I replied.

"Sunghoon mentioned you and Heeseung slept in his room together?"

The question came out of nowhere, but I tried not to show any discomfort. "Oh, yeah. I wanted Heeseung to sleep in his bed, but he insisted I sleep there. We compromised by putting a mattress in his room for me. I didn't want to take over his bed."

Jake nodded, "I see."

It seemed like Heeseung and I had been a topic among the members today. How awkward. I hoped they didn't get the wrong idea. If they knew how close Heeseung and I had gotten last night...

Jake yawned.

"You seem really tired. I don't want to keep you up any longer," I said, concerned.

"It's no problem, but I should get ready for bed soon, even though I'd like to have you here longer," Jake replied with a gentle smile.

"Then have a good night, Jake," I said.

"Thanks, you too, Chloe. Sweet dreams," Jake responded with a light smile.

With that, I left Jake's room and made my way back to the other apartment, wondering if Heeseung was already asleep.
