I slowly opened my eyes to the soft light of morning filtering through the window, the storm still howling outside. It had been a long, turbulent night, and now, in the quiet aftermath, I felt an unexpected weight against my legs. Blinking sleepily, I soon realized that I was still in the same position I'd fallen asleep in—sitting upright with my back against the headboard.
As I looked down, I noticed that Heeseung had turned during the night, and now his body was angled towards me. Heeseung's head resting gently on my lap now. His arms were wrapped around my legs, a sight both endearing and surreal. His breathing was steady and rhythmic, sending gentle vibrations through my thighs. The contact was warm, comforting, and oddly intimate. Even though I could only see part of his face, his closed eyes and relaxed expression made him look peaceful and serene.
The closeness was a soothing balm in contrast to the tumultuous storm outside. I could feel his warmth radiating through the fabric of my pajama pants, a stark reminder of the connection we had forged. My fingers instinctively brushed a few stray strands of hair away from his forehead. Just as I did, the sudden, loud crash of thunder made me startle, and my eyes widened in response to the unexpected noise.
"That was really loud," I whispered softly to myself, trying to calm the racing of my heart.
A moment later, I heard a knock at the door. It was Sunghoon's voice coming through the solid wood. "Heeseung, are you in there? Weren't you supposed to be on the sofa?"
I turned my head slightly, trying to gauge Heeseung's reaction, but he remained deeply asleep. I gave him a gentle shake on the shoulder. "Heeseung, wake up. Sunghoon wants to talk to you!" I whispered more urgently.
As I attempted to rise from the bed, I found that Heeseung's grip on me tightened. His arms, which had been resting loosely around my legs, now held me firmly, almost as if he was reluctant to let go. He shifted in his sleep, pulling me closer and snuggling in more. His touch was warm and surprisingly comforting, and it took me a moment to process how intimately we were entwined.
I heard Sunghoon's voice soften as he said, "They seem to still be asleep," and his footsteps receded from the door.
I gently tapped Heeseung's shoulder again. "Heeseung, hey, wake up," I said softly, hoping to rouse him from his slumber.
I felt him slowly stirring, his body shifting as he began to wake. He rubbed his eyes with one hand, his movements slow and groggy. The sight of him, half-asleep and trying to focus, was undeniably cute. He blinked up at me, and I could see the slow realization crossing his face as he became aware of how close we were.
Trying to keep the mood light and avoid any awkwardness, I smiled at him and said, "Good morning, Heeseung. I hope you slept well?" My voice was gentle, and I could feel a hint of shyness in my tone.
Heeseung nodded, though his gaze remained fixed somewhere off to the side. He sat up, stretching his arms and adjusting his position. "Did you really sleep like this?" he asked, his voice still drowsy.
"Yes, but don't worry, I found it quite relaxing," I admitted honestly, trying to sound nonchalant.
He nodded again, still avoiding direct eye contact. "Oh, and Sunghoon wanted something from you, but you weren't awake yet. Maybe you should check with him about what he needed," I suggested, trying to redirect the conversation.
"Okay, thanks," Heeseung said, standing up and quickly heading towards the door.
