Love At Acacia
Genre: DramaLong post ahead, get ready your tissues.
Waiting for the right person is never been boring at all. Unless, when you're already tired and fell out of love. Isn't weird? Are you curious before that the right person will always comes at the right place? In God's perfect time?
Here's the thing, you're willing to wait for that someone you always prayed for to walk onto your life no matter what. And that's the greatest love you can ever give.
I oftentimes loves to stay at the acacia, in other words, at the waiting shed. I love this spot. It also reminds me of someone that's very special in my heart. Perhaps it's my therapy where I can freely do everything I want to. Scream, cry, sleep, rest and such. I felt warmth everytime I'm within it.
It's raining heavily and I just came from the school. Well, I'm typically a college teacher. Someone who used to teach literature and language. I love reading books and of course, writing stories including personal experiences and eventually, love and infatuation.
I brought an umbrella yet the rain don't want to stop falling from the sky anymore. And I'm afraid I might get sick when going home so I decided to stay at the nearest acacia somewhere down the road. I'm totally wet. I forgot to bring my raincoat because I jus thought it's just a slight rain.
As I supposed to check up my things on my bag, my phone rings so I stop for a while and answer the call. Someone's calling, it's my husband. Did he got home already? Our kids misses him so much.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, I supposed to surprised him first, welcoming him home from America. It's really been a long time since he worked there to support our family and our kids.
But it looks like the rain don't want me to go home yet. Why? Weirdo haha. It's freezing me, the cold breeze wrapped by whole body which enables me to move harder. Uhh.
“Hello, honey. I'm already here at home. I was truly surprised. I didn't expected it haha but sadly you're not here already. And it's raining so heavy outside. Where were you? I'll pick you up, wiat for me.” A soft-spoken voice with a worry tone on the other line.
“Nah. I'm okay, hubby. Don't mind me. I'm just waiting for this rain to stop. I'm so sorry for being not there just the time you came home. I know you're tired from your travel and you should have to take a rest. I'll grab a taxi after the rain, okay?” With a calm voice I uttered so that he won't ever worried about me.
“It's getting late, honey. Take good care when you go home huh? Or if it's still raining, I'll pick you up immediately. See you, I love you honey. Our kids and family are waiting for you here.” I didn't answered anymore because suddenly it's getting choppy and I don't know why.
“Hubby? Hello? Are you still there?” I keep talking but my phone just shut down. OMG. I didn't charged it lately at school. It just got low battery.
I just put it on my bag and get my long sleeves serving as my warmth due to the cold breeze surrounds me. I didn't even know when will this rain stops. They're waiting for me.
Someone's immediately caught my attention a distance away from this acacia and it looks familiar to my eyes. I just don't know who he is but I'm pretty sure it's a man formed standing alingned with where I sat. Who is he? I don't think it's my husband since we just got a call earlier.
My eyes widen. The hairs from my skin just stood up. I don't know why. A goosebump I guess? Or maybe it's a bad person trying to end this life of mine? What is he up to?
“Calista...” A very soft-spoken familiar voice that I've already heard before. No! It can't me. I'm hallucinating.
I can see the sorrow in his eyes, begging. The tears from his eyes falling apart and the rain. He's holding an umbrella walking towards mine. Doubting to wave a hand as I didn't expecting a smile from my face. It's him. The man whom I loved.
