Chapter 16: Ghost Rider vs The Al Ghuls (Part 2)

The now blue flamed Ghost Rider can be seen staring down Ra's Al Ghul and Talia Al Ghul who merely stand in shock at the sight of him.

"Now this is a surprise. It seems that the Lazarus pit has taken a great effect on you. But what it is remains a mystery to me." Ra's Al Ghul says.

"Wouldn't you like to know? But in the end, it does not matter. For tonight, YOU WILL FALL!" Ghost Rider says.

Ghost Rider then charges towards Ra's and the two clash, Ra's with his sword and Ghost Rider with his gauntlets. After a brief moment, Ghost Rider pushed the sword to the side and sends a jab to his neck, followed by a double fist slam to the side of his head, knocking him down. Ghost Rider then backpedals, avoiding a strike from a sword, courtesy of Talia. Talia persists and strikes Ghost Rider in the jaw, pushing him back a step and forcing his head to turn. Ghost Rider turns back to reveal a broken jaw, much to Talia's surprise. Ghost Rider then grabs hold of his broken jaw and adjusts it back into place. A verbal growl can be heard from him before he quickly moves forward and grabs hold of her and tosses her to the opposite side of the room, hitting the wall then falling to the floor.

With the Al Ghuls incapacitated, Ghost Rider turns his attention to Batgirl who remains strapped to the table. Batgirl notices him approaching her.

"Franklin?" Batgirl asks.

"Everything will be explained later, but let's get you outta here first." Ghost Rider says.

Ghost Rider then grabs hold of her arm restraints and rips them off their hinges. He then moves to the neck restraint and rips it apart as well. He then moves to the leg restraints but then a chain suddenly wraps around his torso and he is pulled away from Batgirl. He is then pulled towards the wall and thrown into it, leaving a large indention in the wall. Ghost Rider looks up to see the culprit was Ra's Al Ghul who merely throws the chain aside.

"You aren't running from your destiny that easily." Ra's Al Ghul says.

"Who said I was running away?" Ghost Rider asks.

Ghost Rider then charges towards Ra's Al Ghul and tackles him to the ground. He then throws a punch at the downed assassin but he merely catches the fist. He then grabs hold of him and throws him off to the side. He then stands and holds out his sword.

"It is time, Blaze. Come... and accept your fate." Ra's Al Ghul says.

Ghost Rider stands back to his feet, grabbing a discarded sword that laid on the ground beside him.

"I will say... that the world would be better off without the likes of you, Ra's. You wish to die? So be it." Ghost Rider says.

The two then charge each other, their swords immediately clash upon first contact. Their movement is fluent, the two showing great skill in their swordplay. Batgirl, who managed to free herself of her bonds, can only sit there in amazement at the two fighters. Ghost Rider then blocks after strike before using the momentum and slides his sword across Ra's' sword. He rushes towards him and his sword makes contact, slashing Ra's chest. He holds onto his chest in pain, giving the Ghost Rider an opportunity. He then takes the handle of his sword and bashes it into Ra's face. stunning him. He then grabs hold of him and sends a powerful punch to the side of his head, knocking him down. Ghost Rider then moves closer towards him but is then stabbed from behind. He looks down to see the blade end of the sword sticking out of his abdomen. He stumbles as he turns and see Talia standing there, having been the one who stabbed him. Ghost Rider then lets out a devilish chuckle, startling her.

"Foolish girl. A mere blade can't harm me." Ghost Rider says.

The blade that was was stabbed into him then falls, the middle of it having been melted by his hellfire. Ghost Rider then grabs Talia by the throat and lifts her up to his eye level. Talia struggles, but to no avail. Ghost Rider then peers into her eyes, as if looking into her very soul. He then tilts his head, almost as if he was discovered something.
