As we drove up to the Byers house I felt complete. I hadn't felt like that since I left Eleven. I felt really guilty for leaving her and it surprised me that she wasn't angry. That made me promise myself that I wasn't gonna let her go again. Not now, not ever. I was going to protect her and no one, not even my new made friends were going to touch her.

I looked at Eleven's face, she had fallen asleep, and she looked so peaceful for once.
As I looked to my side, I saw the boys Eleven had been staying with.
It irritated me how Nancy's brother Mike, looked at her. In fact, he wasn't even looking, the kid was staring.

I felt the cougar within me get angry. And without knowing, I growled. I saw Mike's eyes move away from Eleven, to look into my, blue and angry eyes.

I shook my head as if to say: "Not gonna happen."

Mike's eyes drifted of to look through the window. I couldn't help but get into his mind his mind.

"Hey Mike, I think Eleven has enough powers without you trying to be her personal 'weakness.' Maybe give her some space before she accidentally blows you up."

He got really embarrassed. I smiled, noticing the slight pink tint on the boy's face.

I looked to the boy that was sitting next to me. He had curly hair and some kind of weird hat.

"What's your name?" I asked. The boy looked up. "Me?" I nodded slightly smiling at the young boy next to me.

"Dustin." I smiled as the boy put out his hand. I stared at it. The boy smiled. "You should take it." I moved Eleven and grabbed her tightly with the hand that wasn't going to grab the boy's hand. Making her head rest against the window.

I took his hand. "What now?" I asked confused. "You shake it." I shook it.

This confused me.

"Is this normal?"

"Yeah."

I grinned, letting go of the boy's hand.

"So", the boy said: "You're like El then?"

"El?" I asked confused. Did they give Eleven a nickname?

"Short for Eleven." The curly haired boy boy answered. "We reckoned it would be easier to call her that when people are around."

I nodded.

An awkward silence fell between the two of us.

It made me  inspect the boy's features, the dimples in his cheeks, the freckles on his face and his dark brown eyes.

As my eyes drifted over his face, his cheeks turned a shade of pink.

"So", he said breaking eye contact: " Where did you learn to speak? I mean... like El could only say  yes and no for some reason and I thought-

I smiled at the boy in front of me when he cut himself off.

"One of my powers is to read minds. I learned all the words I know from the thoughts of the bad men."

Dustin's eyes widened: "wait a second....
ONE OF?!"

"How much powers do you have? Can you like read my mind right now? Wait."

He practically screamed the word noodle in his mind.

"Did you like, hear that???"

"Yup, and I got you a nice nickname, Noodleface."

The kid in front of me immediately stopped talking. He suddenly remembered something. "I still don't know your name."

I grinned. "What about you guess?"

"Okay." The boy smiled.
"One?"
"Two?"
"Three?"
"Four?"
"Five?"
"Six?"

I nodded at the last one.

We both just laughed.

I saw the dark skinned boy, who was sitting next to Hopper, in the front of the car, raise an eyebrow at Dustin before turning his head to look through the window.

‐-----------------

"We're here, kids", Hopper spoke.

Eleven had just woken up and Mike hadn't looked away from the window. I opened the door to let me and Eleven out, Dustin followed close behind us.

We didn't say a word as we entered the house. I saw Dustin's eyes widen as he looked at the thousands of Christmas lights on the walls and the ceiling, the alphabet that was painted with black paint on top of the wallpaper and of course the people.

Hopper walked  up to Joyce, they immediately began talking, in hushed voices, while Nancy was scowling her brother because she had been so worried. El was right next to Mike. Jonathan was just standing at Nancy's side. While I was at Dustin's.

Dustin looked up at his other friend, who I hadn't properly met and therefore needed to read his mind to get to know his name..

"This is mad." Lucas said to Dustin.

"Wait," I said to the boy, I put out my hand as dustin had learned me: "Lucas, right? You look like someone who's always ready for a battle—or at least a very intense debate about something I don't care about."

Lucas raised an eyebrow at me and rolled his eyes before looking back to Dustin and starting a coversation, completely ignoring my hand.

"Rude" I wispered underneath my breath.

I knew that I wasn't part of the conversation so I left.

I sat down on the couch. I looked down. Ignoring the voices that were threatening to give me a headache again. When Jonathan came, sitting next to me.

"So...", Jonathan said :" We haven't really talked about your other powers right?"

I looked up, a slight grin appeared on my face.
"You don't need to know that."

"Is it weird that I feel like I kinda do?" the teenager in front of me said, smiling.

I sighed.    "Do you remember that cougar in the woods?"

Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "yeah? What about it?"

I looked down to my shoes, they were a bright yellow color that I absolutely hated.

"What if I tell you that was me?" I said, looking up.

Wait, you can turn into a cougar?

"Yes, I can turn into a cougar."

I grinned, "It's just my way of dealing with people who don't understand personal space."

"Hold on a second, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY???" he pratically sreamed to my face. I saw how Nancy's gaze turned from her little brother to me and Jonathan. Hopper looked up too and even the boys who seemed to be deep in conversation turned their heads to face us.

I rolled my eyes. typical.

I saw how Jonathan's cheeks turned a bright red at the sudden attention. He covered his mouth trying not make eye-contact with me, nor anyone that was looking at him.

"What did you say?" I heard Dustin ask.

"That I'm a skinwalker." I spoke up, making sure everyone heard what I had said.
