The morning after the party, Amahira woke to her blaring alarm at 5:30 AM. She groaned, rubbing her eyes as she sat up in bed, thoughts of her conversation with Juju replaying in her mind. She smiled to herself, stretched, and reluctantly got out of bed.

Grabbing her towel, she headed to the bathroom. The hot water felt damn good as it washed over her, clearing her head and reminding her of the connection she'd rekindled with Juju. She lathered up with her citrus-scented body wash, the smell waking her up even more. Shampooing her hair felt like heaven, and she massaged her scalp, letting the water wash away the suds and tension from her muscles.

After her shower, she wrapped herself in a fluffy towel and brushed her teeth with minty toothpaste, feeling more awake by the second. Washing her face made her feel fresh and ready for the day ahead. Her mind drifted back to the peaceful moments under the moonlight with Juju.

Dressed in her practice gear—a tight tank top and shorts—Amahira packed her gym bag with her basketball shoes, a change of clothes, and a water bottle, making sure she didn't forget anything important.

In the kitchen, she grabbed a water for herself and quietly prepared two glasses with pain relievers for Sylas and Kassiani, knowing they'd wake up with hangovers. She left them on their nightstands without waking them.

Amahira grabbed her car keys and headed out into the cool morning air. The drive to practice was peaceful, with hardly anyone on the streets as the sun began to rise. When she got to the gym, only a few teammates were there, clearly feeling the effects of the party from the night before.

Practice started with warm-ups, and the drills helped calm her nerves. They moved on to shooting drills, the sound of basketballs bouncing filling the gym. Amahira couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her. Every time she glanced up, she caught Juju's intense gaze. It was distracting, but also kind of exciting.
