// TW \\DEAD BODIES
DEATH
GORE
EXTREME VIOLENCE
———
Wind pushed through tiny cracks of the old wooden shack. The leaves blew through the glassless windows, and laid gently on the floors of the planked floor. The bed creaked quietly as the object that rested on top of it's cotton mattress laid sprawled out on it lazily.
Slight amounts of drool leaking down the side of his face as he rested sleeping in the bed. Rags for blankets rested half on him. His snores were less than appealing to listen to, you'd be surprised the rest of the fostered children in the home could sleep at all.
Birds sang a morning song as the village in the heart of the forest slept soundly in the early morning. But as the day aged and the sun grew higher, objects arose to begin to forage. The village of Forestdwellers, soon awoke.
The big tossed and turned in his bed, but that in no way meant he had discomfort. The boy hugged his blanket, and his tail rested against the wooden floor beneath the frame of the furniture he laid on.
BANG
BANG
BANG
There was a thundering knock on the door, followed by a booming voice. "GELATIN GET OUT OF BED!!!"
Gelatin's eyes shot open, hey yelped and fell out of bed onto the hardwood floor bellow. He grunted as his head collided with the ground. "Ow..." He seethed through his teeth, and rubbed the side of his head.
"IF YOU GO BACK TO SLEEP YOURE DONE! YOU HEAR ME!?" His caretaker, Book, called from beyond the door with clear annoyance in her voice.
Gelatin got up from the ground and dusted himself off, rolling his eyes. "Yeah yeah..." He grumbled, walking over to his dresser and wrapping his feet in cloth. He then slumped out into the main house. Wooden furniture and walls... The same old, same old for him. He plopped down on the couch, leaning against the cotton cushions.
Book was cooking in the kitchen behind Gelatin. She glanced back at him and opened her mouth to speak. "I need you to go scavenge after breakfast, okay?" She o formed.
Gelatin nodded, "Yeah, alright..." He
didn't really want to— but he liked eating. So he would."Head to the communal farms while it's still early." Book reminded as she choked up various edible herbs and fruits with a sharp stone with a wooden handle.
Gelatin slid his back down the back of the couch. His eyes narrow as he stared at the blank wall ahead. Absolutely nothing was in front the wall before him. He had a bored expression as he waited for breakfast.
"Did anyone come yet?" Gelatin asked, still quite bored and tired. The only thing that entertained him in the moment was the small bits of colours that littered the furniture of the shack.
"No... Not yet" Book informed. She dusted her hands off and placed a bowl down beside her on the wooden countertop. She then grabbed her own bowl of fruits and herbs. "If someone does come, I'll be the first to tell you. I understand you want a forever home, but many people already have their hands full with their own children."
