Gelatin's heavy shaky breaths and cries soon turned into silence. He looked down at his battered body and noticed how badly he was shaking... Gods... He felt so light headed, like the world around him was spinning. He didn't know what to do with himself but cry. Taco sat next to him, her eyes not having any tears to spill. She felt pain in her leg, which she no longer had. Taco remembered the sickening crunch of her leg... followed by the sound of meat tearing from bone. She shivered but stared forwards, unblinking. She took a shaky inhale, and spoke in a weak monotone voice soon after.

"We should... L—...leave..." Her hands clutched just above the tourniquet, her eyes narrowing as a few beads of sweat dripped down her face. She felt Gelatin's breath against the side of her face as he turned to face her.

"I-I... I... I'm not s-sure... We—... uh..." He wasn't sure what to say, or do. Everyone was dead. They ALL were dead. "W-we c-ca-can't j-just go!" Gelatin cried.

"What are we supposed to do...?!" She snapped, shooting him a glare. FINALLY turning her head to him. "Stay here? Bleed out?!"

"N-no! I—... I j-just— We're much worse off out there!" Gelatin reasoned. His tail trembling as he hugged it against himself.

"Like we're better off here..." Taco muttered her glare becoming more hostile as they argued over their next course of action. "We are practically food on platter, Gelly..."

He stood up, dropping his tail. "We might as well be walking into their mouths out there!" He pointed at the forest through holes in the wall. "We have no protection! We may be screwed to stay here, but we're ROYALLY fucked out there!" He snarled, tears falling and hitting the wooden floors below.

"What other choice do we have? Nobody is coming Gelatin..." Taco strained, her eyes finally filling with tears. She looked at his hurt eyes, and soon blinked them away. "We either brave the forest..." Taco paused, "...Or die here alone like the rest of them." She whispered.

Gelatin's stance soon faltered, and he sniffled, softening his gaze as his hands dropped to his side. "Fine... You're... y-you're right Im sorry..." he didn't dare look at her.

Taco gave a small smile of reassurance and then lifted herself up off a couple pieces of debris. Gelatin flinched and snapped his head to her, kneeling and helping her over his shoulder.

"Careful..." He muttered, a bit critical since she was injured. And he was worried...

"Argh...hh... Sorry..." She strained, wincing as she limped heavily, hoping on her only hoof as the stump of her bloodied mangled leg dangled, a drop of blood dripping ever now and again.

They both made their way out of the house, or, what was left of it after the attack. Bodies strung across the bloody path. Limbs and intestine which made Taco gag, and clasp her free hand over her mouth. She was stuck in the house—and hadn't seen the damage.

Taco and Gelatin collapse as Taco dragged him down to puke. Her stomach was empty so only bile came out. The stomach acid burned her throat and lips as she spat the remaining fluid from her mouth. And choked out a shaky whimper.

Gelatin gagged at the sound, smell, and sight of Taco's vomit... He barely could keep it in as he once again helped Taco to her feet.

"B-By the Devine's grace..." Taco whined staring down at the bodies in the ruined village, "H-hh..." she shook her head.
