Fanny huffed as she sat on her porch silently. She glared angrily at the surrounding village as snow blew over and pushed the powdery snow around since it was too cold to stick to the surrounding white ice crystals.

"Having fun just sitting there?" Chimed a friendly voice from bellow the porch. Fanny jumped and blinked, glaring down in the direction the voice came from. Cake stood there and gave a friendly smile. "Hahah—sorry! Did I scare you?" He raised a brow, strolling up and sitting next to her.

"I hate when people sneak up on me like that..." Fanny grumbled, crossing her legs and having to the side.

"Is it such a crime to keep you company?" They asked, nudging the grumpy girl next to her. Her growl that followed mad Cake giggle. "What's got your feathers in a bunch?" Xe questioned.

"Urgh... I got visitors... And my dad still isn't back..." She muttered, her grumpy gaze softening to the thought of her father.

Cake raised a brow, "Who?"

Fanny sighed, shaking her head. "Visitors... They got caught out in the storm... One of them was almost dead." She explained.

"Oh..." Cake frowned, "I think my mom watched them jog through the village." Cake stated, "She said she had a bad feeling about them." Xey sighed.

Fanny grumbled to herself. "I just hate everyone..." Fanny spat, baring teeth. She glared at the cabins across the path. "But... They needed help..." She muttered.

"It was very nice of you to help them." Cake smiled kindly at Fanny. And looked back ahead at the cabins.

Fanny sighed and smiled slightly. "Thanks— I guess..." She blinked her smile away, and looked out into the distance. Silent... That's when she heard it. Wind chimes. She flinched and looked towards her left, noticing her father limping and collapsing into the side of a house along with Ice cube. Fanny jumped up and rushed through the snow. Cake followed. "FATHER?!" Fanny called, worried.

Wind Chime looked up, putting a firm hand on her shoulder. "It's coming—we have to hide...! I believe it's an arch demon...!" He spouted, looking towards the other villagers.

"A-Arch demon?!" Cake muttered. "I have to go tell my mom—!" They scurried off running to Xer house.

Icecube limped over to the village square. "CREATURE OF THE DARK!!! EVERYONE HIDE!!!" She screamed. People panicked and fled to their homes.

Fanny whipped her head back to Wind Chimes, and helped him get to the porch, staggering inside the house with him. She glared to the three girls with a concerned expression. "Everyone hide!" She called.

Suitcase flinched, looking between Fanny and her father. Clover whipped her head back, immediately giving a hand to Soap. "What?!" Clover narrowed her gaze, glaring at Fanny worriedly.

Wind Chimes opened his mouth to speak, but Fanny cut in. "These people got lost and I let them stay for a while. They needed warmth— But that's the least of our worries now!" She grumbled.
