JJ's POV:

I wake up to see Max sleeping on my chest. I can't help but smile at how happy she looks when she is sleeping. I think back to the conversation Miles had with me yesterday. He told me not to push Max to open up she will when she is ready. He also told me that it's better to tell Max things than hiding it from her cause she will get angry and try to run away. I can't help the happiness I feel that Max has Sarah and Miles in her life. I get lost in my thoughts that I don't notice Max starting to wake up.

"It's creepy watching someone sleep you know." Max says looking up at me

"I can't help it honey you looked so peaceful." I tell her smiling

"So what do you have planned today Madre?" Max asks getting out of my arms to sit up and look at me

"Well I have today off from work so I thought we could hang out until noon when Henry and Will get here." I answer smiling

"Let me guess they are excited to meet me." Max says sarcastically

"Yes actually they are. Will kept telling me how Henry is over the moon having a sister. Will also always wanted a daughter so he already loves you." I tell Max as I tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear

"Yeah you say that but wait til they meet me and see what i'm like. Surely they will be disappointed." Max says getting up and going into the kitchen straight to the fridge

"What do you mean honey?" I ask as I watch her take fruit out of the fridge

"I'm more damaged than even you know. I've been through a lot in life it has made me a little jaded." Max says putting fruit on plates for both of us

"We're your family honey we are gonna love every part of you." I say as I watch her roll her eyes as she eats

"Yeah well from what i've seen the world doesn't work like that." Max says shrugging looking down at her plate

Once we finish eating I take the plates putting them into the sink. I then go into the living room seeing Max on the couch waiting for me. I sigh putting in "Dolphin Tale" before I join Max on the couch. During the movie I can see Max lost in her thoughts. I can tell that she is nervous about meeting Will and Henry. I wish I could take away her anxieties. I know everything will go fine. Once she meets Will and Henry her nerves will disappear. I look over to Max and
I grab her hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. Once I see her slowly calming down I let her hand go. I see her enjoying the movie as she smiles. I can't help but smile at the thought of all my loved ones being under one roof tonight. I just hope Max will let her walls down long for them to meet her so everything can go smoothly.
