Jennifer Jareau's Daughter

Chapter 19

JJ POV:

I wake up in the middle of the night to the sounds of Max. I get up carefully trying to not wake up Will. I walk in the hallway to see my daughter being carried in by her friends. The two people who really are my daughter's family at this point. They have watched over my daughter and protected her. Miles and Sarah have been there for her through all of her hard times. I smiles as I make my way towards them.

"Hey Miles and Sarah thanks for bringing her back." I say smiling appreciatively

"Hey no problem sorry she snuck out. She just needed some air and passed out on the car ride back." Miles says politely

"I appreciate it. Does she sneak out often?" I ask concernly

"Only when she needs a break. She always comes to us though so you don't have to worry about them being with people they don't know. She needed to talk about how therapy went." Sarah says smiling at me

"I appreciate you telling me that." I say gratefully keeping in my mind to talk to Max about sneaking out again

"Well Mrs Jareau we should go I'm sure you want to go back to bed. We will see you tomorrow when we pick up Max for school." Miles says as Sarah follows him downstairs leaving the house

I head back to my room smiling. I carefully get back into bed snuggling into Will. Seeing Miles and Sarah taking care of Max makes me realize how much I missed. I'm grateful to Sarah and Max for everything they have done for Max. Maybe they shouldn't be separated. I close my eyes knowing I'll sleep easier now knowing Max is sound asleep in her room. Once my head hits the pillow I instantly fall asleep.

Max's POV:

I wake up with an excruciating hangover. I look at my clock on the wall it's 4:30 meaning JJ and Will are still asleep. I look over at my nightstand to find aspirin. I smile knowing Miles put them there. He always knows what I need. I get up and get ready for the day. Miles and Noah should be here in twenty minutes. I go to Henry's room to see him still asleep. I walk up to him and start to shake him smiling.

"Henry get up Miles and Sarah are gonna be here in twenty minutes. I'm going with them let your parents know if they start to wonder." I say as I hear him groan

"Why don't you tell them?" Henry says getting up going to his bathroom

"I don't want to. Miles and Sarah are taking me to school. That is why I'm asking you." I say as I get up to leave

I go to back to my room to get dressed. I hop in the shower. Feeling the warm water against my skin helps relieve the pressure there alcohol has caused in my head. As I get out of the shower and I'm dressed I go downstairs. Once I'm downstairs I find Henry sitting there waiting at the table. I smile giving him a hug. I give Henry some cereal waiting for Miles to arrive.

"How much did we drink?" Sarah asks laughing as she barges in

"I don't exactly remember but I know it was a lot." I say rubbing my temples

"I just remember emptying the tequila bottle." Sarah says sighing

"I know Miles finished off the vodka." I says quietly making sure Henry doesn't hear us

"I just remember everyone handing me shot after shot." I say rubbing my forehead

"Alright Henry I'm leaving I'll see you tonight." I say hugging him

Before I can say anything else I hear Miles honking. Sarah and I all pile in the car to see Miles holding donuts. I grab the donuts passing everyone one. I can't help but smile thinking how Miles and Sarah always make sure I am taken care of. They are my one true family. Once I see that they have a donut I grab mine eating it. As fun as last night was I do not wanna go to school. I can tell that today is gonna be a long day for all of us.
