COLET'S POV

"Akitin natin sila Gelo?" Stacey carefully asked, her gaze fixed on Jhoanna, she knows na selos na selos pa rin si Jho rito.

I chuckled at Jho's reaction when she retorted upon hearing Stacey's suggestion.

"Piskit na mukha mo 'yan Jho—" I started to tease, but I was cut off by Maloi.

"Pati si Maki." Maloi added unexpectedly.

Napatanga naman ako sa narinig.

I didn't usually feel jealous about Maki, especially since I knew he liked Jasmine, but damn, tangina ni Maki sagad.

I saw Gwen burying herself into Sheena's back, trying to stifle her laughter.

"I'll invite Jasmine too." Mikha muttered as she grabbed her phone to text her.

I noticed Ate Aiah's expression, biglang umasim ang mukha nito sa katabi n'ya.

Nadating pa lang silang dalawa, parehas mukhang bagong gising. We didn't bother to ask them kung ba't ang bagal nila dahil obvious naman na parehas galing sa tulog.

The rest of us exchanged knowing glances at Ate Aiah's obvious discomfort, but my brows furrowed as I observed Jhoanna closely.

She seemed to be deep in thought, her gaze fixed on Ate Aiah.

"Invite mo rin Ate si Jeremy." Jhoanna said in a monotone voice.

I saw how Mikha's fingers paused on her phone when she heard Jhoanna's statement.

Something was off with Jho today, hindi naman s'ya seryosong tao pero pag nanahimik talaga s'ya may mali eh.

She had been unusually serious ever since we bought drinks earlier.

"He's out of town with his family for a week." Aiah replie with a flat tone, napapansin n'ya ata na iba ang tono ni Jhoanna.

Jhoanna frowned, napatingin naman s'ya sa'kin nong napansin n'ya na kanina ko pa s'ya tinitignan

"What's wrong with you?" I mouthed to her.

She just shook her head and looked away, avoiding my gaze.

Gwen and I exchanged a glance, halatang naninibago rin sa behavior ngayon ni Jhoanna.

Mikha resumed typing on her phone, though her focus seemed divided.

I could tell she was bothered by something, probably the mention of Jeremy lalo na si Jhoanna ang bumanggit nito.

Nauna ng dumating si Gelo and Maki dahil same street lang sila ni Miks after 10 minutes ay sumulpot din naman si Jazz.

"Truth or dare tayo, tigil-tigilan n'yo ang pag-haharutan." Gelo said, his face scrunched up in annoyance.

"Inggit ka lang eh, ayan si Maki, yakapin mo." Jhoanna shot back, her expression mirroring his irritation.

Natawa ako sa itsura ni Jhoanna habang nakalingkis kay Stacey, hindi na s'ya tumikal dito simula nong dumating sila Gelo.

Kaniya kaniya kaming pwesto rito habang nag kwekwentuhan. Nakakalat ang binili namin alak at pulutan sa center table.

I was sitting beside Maloi on a single couch, while Miks, Ate Aiah, and Jasmine occupied the larger sofa.

Maki and Gelo shared another single couch, and Stacey and Jhoanna were squeezed into yet another.

Habang nakaback hug na naman Gwen kay Sheena at parehas sila nakalupagi sa sahig.
