OK here's the game plan, to get past the guards outside the room I'll pretend I've been assigned to escort you to the exit but instead we'll head to the prison cells on level 4, where Tiffany is.Now the tricky part is convincing the guards stationed in front of her cell to let her out for no legitimate reason, but luckily I've already thought about that.
I bet they'll believe me if I say she's needed for imminent questioning in the conference room due to recent revelations...from there we should be able to head straight for the back door exit that only verified personnel (like myself) can access".
"I mean..when you say it aloud it sounds like it could work" You sigh in relief, your previous worries begin to gradually disappear after mentally reviewing each step of the escape plan in your head.
Despite this, I can't shake off my worries about Tiffany and whether she will ever forgive me for betraying her. In the beginning, our prison sentences differed greatly—I was supposed to serve a year, while Tiffany only had a 5-week sentence.
Following the false accusations made against her, it was as if everything had switched.
"Hey! Are you guys almost done in there?" questioned the police guards, sounding impatient as they waited for the interview to wrap up before escorting you to the exit doors.
Adam inquired if you were prepared, effectively acknowledging the dangers involved but still maintaining an optimistic attitude towards the likelihood of success. After a slight nod, you approached the door and tentatively opened it, whilst discreetly signalling for Adam to initiate the first step of the daring plan.
"Sorry for the delay, gentlemen. I've just been tasked with escorting this young lady to the exit," Adam stated confidently. "We haven't been informed of any changes. Are you certain about this?" questioned the police officers with a hint of scepticism in their voices.
You sneak a glance at Adam, would we even be able to get past the first step without getting caught? "Trust me, this happens a lot more than you'd think, a higher-up official decides to switch up protocol without notifying employees, I bet they're getting reprimanded at this very moment" Adam states, with a somewhat comical and slightly irritated expression on his face.
You were truly blown away by the way he handled the situation. It looked like the guards completely bought into every word of Adams's explanation, judging by their relaxed expressions and body language afterwards.
