𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 each other down before Seojun spoke up first "You cannot just come back out of nowhere and expect me to act like a stranger." the girl scoffed "Thought you became a stranger three years ago." she said as she looked him straight in the eye.

"Even back then I told you to keep away from me." she stated and his eyes seemed to waver a little bit at the memory. "You told me to stay away, but you're happily sitting down next to Suho?" he scoffed "Don't humor me Areum."

The said girl only clenched her teeth at his words. He had no clue that the boy he talked about ignored Areum as if she did not even exist. "And you don't talk about things you don't know. Now why did you drag me away from my food?"

He crossed his arms "I wanted to talk. I don't want what happened three years ago to ruin what friendship we had." Areum only stared him down "And you remembered that now?" he turned his head away as a response. "Look I'm sorry about what happened."

"My emotions took over me and I know that that doesn't justify anything. But I truly don't want to loose you as well as him." he pleaded. Areum looked him in the eyes and noticed how sincere he looked, but she did not want to give in se easily.

She tilted her head "So what you feel some guilt about my brother and only want to hang out with me because of that?' she then scoffed "It's going to take much more than this apology to get back on my good side Seojun."

The boy nodded and then walked closer to her "I'll do whatever you want. I might become annoying with how much I'm going to bother you." he gave her a smug smile. "Now that's the Seojun I know." she mumbled and he heard it.

"Prepare to have an amazing best friend such as myself." he said and Areum roller her eyes before turning to head outside "Where are you going?" he asked "To finish the food you didn't let me eat."

And with that she was on her way back to the lunch room, once again getting strange looks from other students. Just as she had found the room, the bell rang signalizing the end of the period. "Son of a bitch Seojun." she huffed.

She then made her way back to her classroom on an empty stomach. "Areum! You're finally back!" Jugyeong exclaimed once Areum entered the classroom. Now her whole class was staring at her and she raised an eyebrow. "Why are they all staring at me?" she asked Jugyeong.

"Well Seojun did practically drag you away." she then whispered "There are already rumors about you two." Areum sighed and went to her seat after thanking Jugyeong for her honesty. Next to her was Suho who glared at her "What do you want? To ignore me some more?"

To her surprise Suho actually answered "Did anything happen?" Areum was taken back but almost snorted at the stupidity of his question. "You're finally talking to me and it's to ask that stupid ass question. You can't be real Suho."

The boy pressed on "Just tell me nothing happened." Areum sighed and turned to lie on her backpack "Relax nothing happened. And if it did I'm not the ten eleven year old you see me as." Their conversation was stopped there because of the teacher.

Seojun arrived late to class and he got the same treatment that Areum got just much less obvious. There was one person who could not stop glaring at him though, and that was Suho. In Areums mind, none of his actions made sense.

He ignored her, pretended as if he had never known her and was frankly rude to her. And then once Seojun comes into the picture he out of nowhere cares about her. She of course knew about their falling out, but it had no connection to her.

She gave up on thinking too hard about it, since it would only give her a headache and that was not what she needed a day before her moms surgery. Today was the last day she could visit her while she was awake.

Her surgery was scheduled after her school hours, and her mother told her to come the day after knowing she would probably awake by them. So Areum looked forward to this day ending and going straight to the hospital.

But here she was stuck in her English class sitting next to Soojin and opposite Seojun who looked anywhere but their group. "Hey Seojun." Soojin called him "Do you know how to do a ppt?" she asked and he smiled.

"Fitting? Of course." Areum and Soojin rolled their eyes but he continued "I used to be a fitting model, you know." he turned to look Areum in the eyes and she laughed in his face "A ppt as in presentation you idiot, not fitting."

The other students sitting with them were shocked at how she called the Han Seojun an idiot but the guy just tried to come up with an even stupider excuse as to why he said or heard fitting.

Once school was done, Areum headed to the hospital and she came about forty minutes before visiting hours ended. She searched for her mothers room and once she came in put a smile on her face "Hi mom! How are you?"

Her mother smiled at her as she sat up "I'm fine Rumi. Just impatient for tomorrow. Anyway how was school?" the teenagers shrug her shoulders before answering "Same as always mom, although Seojun showed up today."

Her mother seemed interested "Seojun? He's in your class?" Areum nodded "Yeah both him and Suho, but I don't really talk to either." her mother sighed "Such a shame Rumi, that Han boy liked you when you were kids."

And there she goes with her stories of Seojun liking Areum when they were kids. Areum never believed this stories but her mother kept telling them over and over again. She seemed to like the little romance story she made up.

"Yeah yeah mom, you've told me a million times." she huffed "I'll tell you a million and one times if I need for you to believe me." the teenager laughed "Okay then I believe you. Just don't bore me with the story."

Her mother swatted her but Areum laughed "But yeah Suho's not talking to me, and Seojun seems keen on talking to me. They're polar opposites at the moment." her mother hummed. "Why isn't Suho speaking to you? He seemed like such a sweet child.

Areum shrugged her shoulders "Don't know mom. He just is." her mother shook her head "Somebody has to go and teach that boy some manners." Areum shook her head "Nah, he'll just grow out of it sometime."

"But anyway how are those friends you told me about?" her mother inquired "They're alright, Sooah's full of energy and Jugyeongs a bit calmer. I'm hanging out with them soon."

Her mother could not contain her happiness as she hugged Areum. "Thank the lord you made some friends. I cannot wait to meet them once I'm out of her." Areum only smiled and nodded "I'll bring them home sometimes mom."
