𝐓𝐞𝐧 - 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬

𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐒 Areum tells her mother uneventful. Nothing exciting or weird was happening. Well except two weird things she had noticed. First of all her friend Jugyeong and her kind of friend Suho had something going on, she just didn't know what it was.

And second of all, Jugyeong herself had something going on. Either she was being bullied or Areum didn't know. She would run out of the classroom at weird times, like just run out on the other three girls and say she forgot something.

She also spent a lot more time on her phone, so Areum did not know what to think about her friends' behavior. But she was curios and when an opportunity popped up she took it. That's how the four girls ended up in an arcade. All Sooah's wishes to be honest.

"Areum don't get lost in your thoughts!" Sooah called out and Areum listened. "Sorry, just lost my focus there." the other girl huffed. "Jugyeong and Soojin went off in that way, let's play this game until they come back."

She agreed and they played some type of piano simulator game and expectedly Areum won with the most points every round. "How are you this good Areum-ah?" the struggling Sooah asked her and Areum chuckled.

"I used to play piano and guitar." she opened up a bit and Sooah seemed amazed "Really? How do you have everything? Good grades, looks and talent? God for sure has favorites." The older girl laughed but turned to help out her friend.

They played the rhythm game for about fifteen minutes more until Sooah accepted defeat and the other two girls came back. "There you are, we've been looking everywhere for you." Jugyeong said.

"We've been here for about half an hour." Areum said looking at her watch. "Well come on, Soojin has to go home, let's walk her to the bus." Areum nodded but Sooah wanted to go to the karaoke bar.

She seemed desperate as she grabbed Areums hand "Please just this once." the other girl chuckled and shook her head "Next time, let's first walk Soojin home." Sooah sighed but complied.

She then turned to the other two girls "Did you guys know Areum plays instruments?" Jugyeong like Sooah seemed amazed while Soojin nodded not really caring. "What can you play Areum?" Jugyeong asked.

Areum smiled "I used to play piano and guitar but stopped three years ago." the two youngest girls groaned "Life is not fair Sooah." Jugyeong commented and Sooah agreed. Soojin and Areum only looked at each other before looking back at their friends.

"I'm not that good to be honest. I did stop practicing after all." she said and sat down waiting for the bus. "Why did you stop?" Jugyeong asked and Areum thought of what lie to tell her friends. She did not have the courage to tell them the truth.

So she decided on telling the half truth "Something happened three years ago so I stopped. Family maters." the two girls nodded while Soojin looked at the girl, but looked away when her bus started approaching them.

The four girls said their goodbyes to Soojin and only after she got on the bus continued walking down the main street. "What else are you hiding Areum?" Sooah asked with a teasing smile and Areum sighed "I'm not hiding, you guys just didn't ask."

She then turned to Jugyeong "But I think you're hiding something from us." the poor girl stopped in her way. You could see her hand shaking and going into panic mode immediately "What do you mean?"

Based on Jugyeongs reaction Areum then asked "Do you have a boyfriend or?" she pointed to her friends phone "You're always on the phone, sometimes you don't even listen to us." Sooah then nodded as well.

"I've noticed it as well. Our Jugyeongie got a boyfriend!" but Areum was not convinced until the girl confirmed it herself. She seemed to breath out a breath of relief and now that confused Areum even more.

If she wasn't hiding a boyfriend, what could she be hiding. And Areum was sure she was hiding something. She did not want to force it out of the girl but was curios. "So do you have a boyfriend or?"

Jugyeong chuckled and rubbed her neck "Hahah well not really. It's just some friends from my old school." Lies, she had told lies and it was obvious. Well maybe not to Sooah who beamed, asking Jugyeong about these so called friends.

But Areum gave her a look, a look that Jugyeong could not read. Areum would not force the girl to spill her secrets but she would find out somehow for sure. And one way to find out is to first find out what her relationship with Suho was.

And so once the three girls split up, she found herself in front of Suho's house. She had texted him to come out and now she was waiting for him. "Hey Areum." he greeted as he came down the stairs.

"Hi." she greeted him "What did you need me for? Your message seemed urgent." the boy asked as they sat on a bench and Areum turned to look at him "What's your relationship with Jugyeong?" she asked outright.

He seemed taken back and his posture was a bit stiff, only after thinking did he answer her "She's a classmate, what other relationship would there be?" he said and Areum raised an eyebrow before narrowing her eyes him.

Now he could try to lie to someone who did not know him, but she wasn't that. She was someone who had known him from childhood and she could read him openly as if he was a book.

She cocked an eyebrow "You don't have anything going on?" he shook his head "Why would you think that?" Areum sighed understanding he would not tell her a single thing. "I mean you helped her that day and you two have a weird relationship during school."

"Like one minute I see you ignoring her, the next you're saving you." he stayed silent at Areums' words. "Just asking, nothing else." he nodded and then looked around "Is that all you needed?"

Areum scoffed "Do I look that much like my brother that you cannot stand to sit with me?" he turned to defend himself but Areum stood up "Forget it, I'm going home." she turned to face him. "Once you want to act like a grown up call me."
