𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘. Han Seojun

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰

𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐌 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 ready for the music show which was planned for the night. Her makeup was very minimal, as she was never that good at doing makeup. Whenever it was needed, she would just pay a professional to do it for her, instead of embarrassing herself. Her outfit consisted of a black and white checkered sweater which was cropped at her waist, long black pants as it was still too cold outside to wear any type of skirt, her hair was brushed and she had a white headband on, as the one accessory she felt the outfit needed.

The other girls in the tent finished up around the same time as her and so the plan was for all of them to walk together to the campfire but then a somebody's footsteps were heard outside the tent. "Areum-ah, are you done?" it was the voice of Seojun. Sooah and Soojin gave her a look, both of then being teaisng ones but also they still didn't understand how they got together, but Areum didn't regard them as she stepped outside to find her boyfriend there dressed in an all black assemble. She smiled at him "Hi Jun, give me a second more please."

He nodded and she came back inside to pick up her black racer jacket and bag, with that she was out of the door "Ok, now I'm ready." she said with a smile as she fully stepped out. The boy looked her up and down and blushed slightly before handing her an impromptu bouquet. "This is for you, the guys and I gathered some flowers earlier, and I thought you might like it." he rambled as he was visibly nervous but the girl smiled and took the bouquet into her hands "Thank you, it is beautiful. Remind me to thank the guys later." she laced her hand with his "Now shall we go?"

He nodded and the two made their way to the campfire, they sat somewhat near the campfire, and Seojun brought out the same blanket on which they stargazed for them to share. Soon enough other students arrived and the music show started. The two stared at the the performances and swayed with the music being played "Do you still play guitar?" he asked her and she nodded "I haven't practiced in a long time, but yeah. What about you? Do you still sing?" the boy smiled and nodded.

"Yeah just, you know, not like I did before." he said in a hushed tone and the girl understood him fully "Hey, if you don't want to speak about it, I won't force you." he shook his head "No, I have to talk about it to get over what happened. I won't forget it, but it needs to come to a rest." The girl nodded as she squeezed his hand in comfort, knowing exasperated what he was talking about, and she smiled at him. Then a voice broke through the pair's conversation "I hear one of Saebom High student was actually a kpop idol trainee." the person said and Seojun's face turned into a scowl.

"Where is this person?" he asked and all the students around them pointed to Seojun who scoffed "Seriously?" he said to his friends who only laughed at him from their seat about the couple "You can't leave me to have one night alone with my girlfriend, can you?" he questioned agitation clear in his voice. His friend defended " You're a great singer, so sing us a song." Chorong then turned to Areum "Please make him agree miss Seojun's girlfriend." he acted out a pleading emotion and Areum laughed at him while her boyfriend scoffed "She has a name you idiot."

Areum tugged his hand "Jun-ah, don't get angry at him, he is right." the boy still had a scowl on his face but listened to her "You've got a great voice, and I haven't heard you sing in a while." she pointed to herself then "For me at least please?"  He nodded and then smiled at her "Only if you play the guitar with me." the girl was flustered but his friends cheered "Jun, I haven't played for years." she tried to escape someway but her boyfriend chuckled as he had already dragged her up the stage by her hand. " You don't just forget how to play guitar this easily Rumi."

And so the two found themselves on the stage even though Areum was against the idea of herself up on the stage. It had never been her goal to be someone famous for her playing of instruments, it was just a hobby to her. Seojun handed her first the guitar and she gave him a questioning look "What are we even going to play? I don't know everything." he pondered as he put his own guitar on "Do you remember the one song you and Seyeon helped me write for a monthly evaluation once? Starlight was the name I think."

She nodded "Yeah I remember writing that, well kind of at least." the girl then turned to adjust the guitar given to her. She was afraid that she had forgotten everything, but once she tuned the strings and sat the strap, she smiled. "You ready?" Seojun asked her before turning to the crowd of their peers. Areum began softly playing her guitar while her boyfriend gave the soft vocals needed. Despite her fears, she got back into playing straight away and it was as if a literal wall was broken down in her mind.

She invested herself into the song enough to not notice the stares of wonder of her students, mostly those from other classes. They had heard the rumors of a new couple in the neighboring classroom, and were astounded when they found out Han Seojun was the one in the relationship. So to see, not only him singing the soft tune of the song, but see his girlfriend play the guitar for him was like a reality check for most students. They wondered what had the new couple done to be so blessed with both beauty and talent.

Other than the other classes, people inside the couples' own class started wandering about the two of them. Specifically Jugyeong wondered how she was supposed to feel, she wanted to be angry at Areum, she really did. But her actions of helping her yesterday, took over her hatred. She also wanted to be angry at Seojun for ending up with Areum and not giving her any attention but one side of her mind was telling that her actions really were too childish. She had Suho now, what else could she wish for?
