As they walked back to their home the Garden, Shrisha and Vriti chattered excitedly about the grandeur of the palace of Agna and how beautiful flowers were in their comparing them to the place they just were coming from. Maya nodded and smiled, but her mind was elsewhere. She couldn't shake off the memory of Karna's warm smile and piercing eyes.
"Maya, aren't you listening?" Shrisha asked, nudging her playfully. "We're talking about the palace!"
Maya apologized, trying to focus on the conversation. But her friends noticed her distraction.
"Maya, what's on your mind?" Vriti asked, her voice soft with concern.
Maya hesitated, unsure if she should reveal her true feelings. But something about her friends' kind expressions put her at ease.
"I...I was thinking about Karna," Maya confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Shrisha and Vriti exchanged a knowing glance. "We knew it!" Shrisha exclaimed. "You've been smitten with him since the moment you met!"
Maya's face flushed, but she couldn't deny it. "I love him," she said, the words tumbling out of her heart. "With all my heart and soul."
Vriti and Shrisha enveloped her in a warm hug. "We're so happy for you, Maya!" Vriti said. "You deserve all the love in the world!"
As they hugged, Maya felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She knew that her friends would support her no matter what.
