As the years passed, Karna’s household blossomed into a lively haven, full of love, laughter, and the occasional chaos that only children could bring. Vrushali bore him two brave sons, Vrishasena and Vrishaketu, who grew to embody the values their father held dear. With Supriya, he was blessed with a daughter, her name as radiant as the moon—perhaps “Suvrata” (meaning virtuous) would suit her grace. Meanwhile, Maya's twins, Mrish and Virya, now fourteen, transitioned from the innocent world of wooden toys to the disciplined realm of bows, arrows, and spears. Yet, the laughter and giggles of their childhood still lingered, weaving joy into their days.
Virya remained as calm and composed as an undisturbed ocean, his wisdom often belying his years. In contrast, Mrish continued to embody the boundless hope and cheer of a sunrise, his laughter infectious and his spirit unyieldingly bright. Maya had also given birth to another son, Karna’s youngest, named Aagnik. A child as fierce and mesmerizing as fire itself, Aagnik quickly became the spark that lit up their home.
Aagnik and Vrishaketu were inseparable, partners in mischief and adventure. Their antics were legendary, often leading to stern scoldings from their sister Suvrata, who tried valiantly to maintain order. Their mischief earned amused praises from Mrish, who admired their creativity, earned side-eyes from Vrishasena, who valued discipline, and deep sighs from the ever-serene Virya. Through it all, their parents’ love remained unwavering, a steady flame in their vibrant household.
Karna often watched his children with a mix of pride and longing, for he knew the world beyond their walls was harsh and cruel. Yet, in these moments of shared laughter and love, he found solace—a glimpse of the life he had always dreamed of, one filled with warmth, unity, and the bonds of family

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the practice grounds of Karna’s household. The air was thick with determination and focus, broken only by the occasional snap of bowstrings and the dull thud of arrows hitting their marks. Karna stood tall, his armor gleaming faintly in the evening light, as he watched his sons prepare their bows.As the practice continued, the sun dipped lower, casting golden hues across the training grounds. Karna walked among his sons, his sharp eyes observing their stances and movements. He offered quiet corrections, his tone steady and encouraging.
“Virya, your form is impeccable,” he said, watching the boy release an arrow that struck the target with deadly precision. “But remember, even perfection requires vigilance. Never let overconfidence slip in.”
Virya nodded, his expression calm as always, though his eyes gleamed with pride at his father’s words.
Karna moved to Mrish next, his presence causing the boy to grin. “Father, watch this!” Mrish said excitedly, quickly nocking an arrow and releasing it. The arrow sailed through the air and struck just shy of the bullseye.
Karna chuckled, ruffling Mrish’s hair. “Almost perfect. You’re improving, my son. Just a little more focus, and you’ll surpass even the gods’ aim.”
The warmth in his words was subtle, but it didn’t go unnoticed by the others. Aagnik, sitting on the ground and playing with an arrow, looked up with wide eyes. “Pitashree, what about me?” he piped up, his voice bright with eagerness.
Karna smiled and crouched to Aagnik’s level, gently tapping the boy’s nose. “You, little fire, have more spirit than all your brothers combined. But you must learn patience. Archery requires a steady hand, not just a fierce heart.”
Aagnik nodded seriously, but his mischievous grin soon returned as he turned to Vrishaketu and whispered, “See? I’m already the best at something.”
