Maya stared down at her hands, still feeling the weight of Duryodhan’s gaze from earlier. "I don’t know, Vriti. I feel like I’m competing with someone I can never win against. I saw how Karna looked at him. Duryodhan is everything to him."

Vriti smiled softly, her voice filled with warmth. "Love isn’t a competition, Maya. It’s not about winning against Duryodhan. Karna can be loyal to Duryodhan and still care deeply for you. You just need to find the right moment. Tonight wasn’t it, but that doesn’t mean it won’t come."

Maya looked up, her eyes shimmering with a mix of hope and doubt. "What if it never comes? What if I’m always stuck in this position—on the outside, looking in?"

Vriti squeezed her shoulder. "You’re stronger than that, Maya.

Maya sighed, leaning into Vriti’s comforting presence. "I hope you’re right. But tonight, I just feel... defeated."

Vriti smiled gently. "Take some time, Maya. Reflect

, and gather your strength. Sometimes, the most important battles aren't fought with swords but with patience and understanding. You’ve faced so much already, but you haven’t given up. That says more about your strength than you realize."

Maya nodded, taking in Vriti’s words. The tension in her chest eased slightly, but the uncertainty lingered. "It’s just hard to see it that way when everything feels so… heavy."

Vriti’s smile widened. "That’s why you’re not alone. You have me, and soon, you’ll have Karna by your side in ways you can’t even imagine. Trust yourself, Maya. The right moment will come."

Maya closed her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to breathe deeply. "Thank you, Vriti. I needed to hear that."

Vriti stood, offering her hand to Maya. "Come on. Let’s get some rest. Tomorrow is a new day, and who knows what it will bring?"

Maya hesitated but then took Vriti's hand, standing up. "Tomorrow… maybe things will be different."

"Maybe," Vriti said with a knowing smile. "But either way, you’ll face it with your head held high."
