Maya's striking features and radiant beauty made her stand out as she sat on the riverbank. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, and her bright pink lengha sparkled in the sunlight. Her yellow choli accentuated her delicate features, and her full lips curved into a gentle smile as she gazed out at the river.
As she sat there, lost in thought, Kunti approached her, her own gray hair neatly tied back in a bun, her eyes warm with kindness.
"Maya, my child, you look lovely today," Kunti said, her voice gentle as a breeze. "May I join you?"
Maya turned to her, a hint of surprise in her eyes, but a smile quickly followed. "Of course, Kunti Maa," she said, using the respectful term for "mother".
Kunti sat down beside her, and they watched the river flow in comfortable silence for a moment. Then Kunti spoke up, her voice serious but kind.
"Maya, I wanted to talk to you about Nakula. I've noticed the way he looks at you, and I think he might be interested in you romantically."
Maya's eyes widened in shock, and she felt a flutter in her chest. She didn't feel the same way about Nakula, but she couldn't just say it outright - that would be rude.
"RajMata, I...I don't think Nakula sees me in that way," Maya stammered, trying to convince Kunti. "He's just being friendly, that's all."
Kunti's knowing gaze made Maya's cheeks flush. "Maya, my child, I've seen the way Nakula looks at you. He's smitten."
Maya's curiosity got the better of her, and she asked Kunti, "How did you know my name, Kunti Maa?"
Kunti's smile grew wider, and she said, "Oh, child, I know many things. I've heard about you from my son Nakula, and I've also seen you around the palace. You have a certain... presence, Maya. A certain spark in your eyes that sets you apart."
Maya's eyes widened in surprise, and she felt a blush rise to her cheeks. She hadn't realized that Nakula had mentioned her to his mother, or that Kunti had noticed her at all.
"RajMata, you're too kind," Maya said, trying to deflect the attention. "I'm just a simple girl from the village."
Kunti's laughter was warm and gentle. "Ah, Maya, you're far from simple. You have a depth to you that I think even you're not aware of yet. But don't worry, child. I'll help you discover it."
Maya's eyes widened in surprise, and she asked Kunti, "What did Nakula tell you about me? I've only seen him a few times, and we've only had one conversation that lasted three lines!"
Kunti's smile grew wider, and she said, "Ah, but that's all it took for him to notice you, Maya. He told me about your kindness, your beauty, and your sparkling eyes. He said you light up the room with your presence."
Maya's face grew hot with embarrassment, and she looked down at her feet. "Oh, RajMata, that's too much."
Kunti's gentle laughter put Maya at ease. "Nakula sees something special in you, Maya. And I think he might be right."Maya's friends as usual called her from a middle of a conversation but this she was not mad at them " Rajmata they are my friends We came here to collect some flowers and I guess they are done I should leave now
" Yes putri go ahead but remember I'll have my eyes on you and my son "Kunti said with a soft smile
