"Caught you, Mr."

I smirked, clutching the necklace in my hand as I left the hospital. Lia, Mia, and Soha had already returned to the hostel due to work commitments, leaving Kasim to pick me up with my father. My father questioned me about the incident, but I made up an excuse. I didn't want to reveal anything yet-not until I had solid proof.

Kasim, however, was being annoyingly nosy. I knew he'd eventually spill everything to Saim, but luckily, Saim didn't take things seriously. At least that fire would be put out soon enough.

Once I got back to campus, Lia and I resumed our volunteer work. As helpers, we were stuck managing stalls all day while the players competed.

While looking for Fariha, my eyes landed on him-Mahir Durani. He walked confidently with his friends, completely unaware of my plans. Smirking, I pulled out the necklace and spun it around my finger, making sure he noticed.

Walking with my friends, I spotted her-Aena Kamran. My gaze froze on the necklace spinning around her fingers.

That's mine.

My heart clenched. That necklace wasn't just a piece of jewelry; it was a precious gift from my mother before her accident. It symbolized everything my brother and I held dear.

How dare she flaunt it like that?

I didn't think twice-I stormed toward her. Her smirk faltered as I closed the distance, my friends calling out behind me, confused by my sudden departure.
