I entered my room, only to find Mia and Lia shamelessly stuffing their mouths with pizza. My stomach churned—not out of hunger but something... unfamiliar. Butterflies? No, I don’t believe in them. Or have they started creeping into my life?"Hey, Kasim gave these," Mia mumbled through a mouthful, gesturing to the pizza boxes.
I narrowed my eyes. "He gave these? Or did you ask him? Stop wasting my brother’s money!" I scolded, snatching the boxes from them.
"Heyyy! What are you doing? Give it back!" Lia protested, practically leaping for the boxes. For someone who’s older than me by a few months, she sure acts like a child. Honestly, the only reason I listen to her is because I’d probably have strangled her by now if I didn’t.
"Where’s Soha?" I asked, glancing around.
"She’s still at practice," Lia replied, her tone casual.
“Not a real brother, though,” Mia teased, her words laced with mischief. I turned to her, immediately catching the glint in her eyes. Her fishy mind definitely needed some straightening out.
“Mia ki bachi!” I snapped. “Kasim is four years younger than me! Are you serious? He’s even younger than my youngest brother!”
Mia shrugged nonchalantly. “So? He’s tall, handsome, rich, and charming. Love knows no age, my dear.” She sang the last part, clearly enjoying my annoyance.
Without hesitation, I hurled a pillow at her, but of course, Mia dodged it with ease. The pillow hit Soha instead, who had just entered the room. My heart sank.
"Oh no!" Mia shouted, pointing at me. “Soha, Aena threw it! Not me!”
