"What do you mean?" Aena asked, standing up and glaring at Ali.

"Wow," Mia muttered under her breath, exchanging a look with Soha and Ali. When Lia shot her a warning glare, Mia quickly cleared her throat. "I mean, wow... uh, yeah, no, like, um... why are you—"

"Why are you taking her?" Aena cut in, her sharp tone making Mia look at her as if she'd just betrayed her.

"We don’t have all day for you to fangirl over them," Lia whispered in Mia’s ear, earning a glare.

Ali cleared his throat, shifting their attention back to him. "We’re going on a date," he announced casually.

Soha looked at him in alarm, wanting to protest, but Ali’s arm tightened around her waist. Aena, Lia, and Mia stared at them in disbelief.

"Hey!" they exclaimed in unison, storming toward them.

Before they could reach Soha, Ali stepped in front of her, pulling her behind him. "Don’t—"

"YOU don’t!" Aena interrupted, pointing an accusing finger at him.

Mahir and Shameer, sensing the rising tension, were about to intervene when Shahab stopped them. Mahir opened his mouth to argue, but Soha’s hesitant voice broke the standoff.

"W-we’re g-going to a c-cat shelter," she stammered, her words drawing astonished looks from everyone.

Ali smirked.

"Why? Why are you going with him?" Lia demanded, her tone echoing Aena’s silent question.

"I want to gift her a cat of her choice. She doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. If anyone else does, they should mind their own business... before I crash theirs," Ali said coldly.

Taking Soha’s wrist, he led her away to his black Kawasaki.

Aena’s expression hardened, and she moved to follow them, but Lia grabbed her arm.

"Aena, Soha said it’s just about a cat. Let it go."

"But Ali is—"

"He won’t do anything to her," Shahab interjected.
