Aena blushed, tapping his chest, as Mahir pulled away and cupped her face. "My baby," he murmured into her hair, as the light atmosphere in the hall surrounded them.

Mahir's grandfather cleared his throat, stepping forward. "Looks like we have something truly beautiful here," he said, smiling warmly before turning to Aena’s father. "Sir, your daughters have truly brought light to our family," he added sincerely. At that moment, Mahir's chachi ran over to Aena and hugged her tightly. Aena was still in Mahir’s arms, and he simply smiled, watching her.

"Hayeeee, mein mar jaawan! Dekho, dekho inhain!" she exclaimed, clutching her heart dramatically. (Oh, I might die! Look at them!)

Everyone chuckled as Shahab descended from the stage, helping Fariha step down in her bridal dress. "Oh man, you stole my wedding," Shahab teased, patting Mahir on the back.

Fariha hugged Aena tightly and kissed her forehead. "I’m sorry," she murmured, as a tear rolled down her cheek. Aena hugged her back, whispering, "Thank you."

Aena thought to herself, Without Fariha’s plan, I would have never realized my feelings for him—or his feelings for me. We would never have had such intensity in our love.

“Alright, alright, step away now! We need to get the brides ready,” Mia, Soha, and Lia chimed in, pulling Fariha and Aena away. Mahir resisted, making Aena smile shyly at his adorable reaction.

“Let go; she’s yours!” Arisha teased.

“Let’s get my second bhabhi ready,” she added, pulling Aena away. The girls whisked Aena and Fariha to the bridal room, followed by Aena’s mother and Mahir’s chachi. Meanwhile, Aena’s father was approached by Mahir’s grandfather.

With a genuine smile, he patted her father’s shoulder. “I hope you have no concerns. You can trust us with Aena, just as you have trusted us with Fariha. Mahir will take care of her,” he assured.

Aena’s father nodded respectfully. “I trust Mahir with Aena, sir,” he replied.

When the brides emerged, Aena was wearing Mahir’s late mother’s bridal dress. She looked stunning in the traditional ensemble of deep red and gold, intricately embroidered with fine zari and gota work. The lehenga sparkled in the light, while the matching dupatta, adorned with delicate floral motifs, rested gracefully on her head. She exuded elegance and charm.

As the brides approached the stage, Shahab’s gaze was locked on Fariha, while Mahir kept his eyes closed. He didn’t have the courage to look at Aena, his emotions too overwhelming. Aena stepped closer to him.

“Janan?” she whispered, using the word he had often said to calm her.

Mahir’s heart raced as warmth flooded his being. Thousands of emotions coursed through him, and he felt as though he had won everything in life. Finally, he opened his eyes. A tear rolled down his face, not stiff with sorrow but a pure expression of overwhelming emotion.

Clutching his chest with one hand, he reached out to Aena with the other. She stepped closer, brushing his tear away.

Everyone watched in awe, knowing Mahir had never shed a tear—not even at his mother’s death. Aena’s father gave Fariha’s hand to Shahab once again, then turned to Aena and Mahir. Gently taking Aena’s other hand, he saw that Mahir held one of her hands in his, while the other clutched his heart.

“Beta,” he whispered, as Mahir slowly let go of his heart and took Aena’s hand completely, holding her with both hands now.

The function continued smoothly until Mia suddenly ran onto the stage, clutching her phone.

“Guys, we’re doomed!” she announced dramatically.

Arisha, Soha, Ali, Aena, Mahir, Shahab, Fariha, Lia, and Shameer turned to her in confusion.

“Mia, what now? Did you cause a problem on a day like this?” Soha teased, earning a sharp glare from Mia.

“You two sisters handle your brother!” Mia retorted, handing the phone to Aena and Fariha.

The two saw Saim on the screen, lying dramatically on a bed as Kasim tried unsuccessfully to calm him. Aena unmuted the call, and Saim’s exaggerated shouting echoed through the hall.

“WHAT?! CALM DOWN? HAYE ALLAH, MEIN TO LUT GAYA! DO BEHNEIN THIN, DONO NEY DHOKA DE DIYA! MEIN PAIDA HI KYUN HUA? AB PATA CHAL GAYA MEIN SOTEYLA HOON! MERI TO DONO BEHNO NE MUJHE DHOKA DE DIYA!” he yelled dramatically, clutching his heart as if he were in pain.

“C-Calm down,” Kasim murmured, still attempting to pacify him.

“CALM DOWN?! TUMSE POOCHUNGA JAB TUMHARI BEHNON KI SHAADI HO JAYE, AUR TUMHE BATAYA BHI NA JAYE!” Saim roared.

The entire hall burst into laughter. Saim paused when he heard the laughter, realizing he was on a video call. He glared at the camera.

“TUM VIDEO CALL KAR RAHE HO, KAMEENE?!” he yelled before stopping abruptly. His voice softened when he saw Aena and Fariha in their bridal dresses. His heart swelled with warmth. What more could a brother want than to see his sisters truly happy?

Saim shoved the phone back to Kasim, moving out of the frame.

“What happened?” Fariha asked.

“Saim?” Aena called.

“Give the phone back to Saim,” Aena insisted. When Kasim flipped the camera, Saim was looking down.

“Saim, bacha,” Fariha called softly.

Finally, Saim took the phone. Tears glistened in his eyes, and both sisters grew emotional at the sight of their younger brother showing such maturity.

“All... Allah khush rakhey aapko,” Saim murmured, trying to hold back his tears.

“Ameen,” Aena and Fariha whispered in unison as Saim cut the call abruptly.

The sisters looked at each other and chuckled.

“Such a drama king,” Fariha said, laughing.

“A total patty pants,” Aena agreed.
