Begin Again

"You're here!" Danielle yelled and hugged Haerin, they were all bestfriends, but Haerin considered Hanni as her BESTFRIEND. You know what I mean. "Ow! You're suffocating me!" Haerin tried to break away from the tight hug as she catches her breath. "Oops, sorry!" Danielle pulled away and giggled. "What are you guys still waiting for? Come on! The tickets aren't gonna come to us themselves!" Hyein motioned them to come with her, they immediately followed next to her so she wouldn't be alone.

"I'll buy our snacks and beverages, you wait for me here." Haerin spoke. "I'll come with you, they'll just buy our tickets as well." Minji jogged over next to Haerin. "It's fine, Min. I'll be quick." Haerin giggled and pushed Minji away gently. "Come on, Kitty Kang! I'll help you pick, please?" Minji whined like a child and pleaded cutely. "Sigh, fine." Haerin sighed and rolled her eyes playfully, while Minji clapped her hands in victory and chained their arms together, earning glances from Hanni and her friends. "Ahem, now let's go get those snacks!" Minji exclaimed and pulled Haerin to walk with her.

"What do you want to eat as a snack?" Haerin asked while looking for a shopping basket. "Who says I need a snack when you're already right beside me?" Minji teased and smirked. "Yah! Gross! I'm telling Hanni." Haerin punched Minji a little and teased her with Hanni. "I'm just kidding! You silly cat!" Minji giggled and rubbed the top of Haerin's head. "Seriously though, what else do you want to eat other than me?" Haerin asked, not realizing what she had just said. "Oh shit. I'm sorry, I don't know why I just said that." Haerin continued and looked down from embarassment, it went quiet for a while until Minji bursted into laughter.

"You're getting brave, Hae! I love you for that." Minji laughed, also not aware of what she had said. They paused to look at each other's surprised eyes, out of awkwardness, a small smile tugged in their lips then pretended to look for something in the aisles.

"Mom! When I grow up, I want to marry my crush and have a life just like them!" A kid pointed to them who were both teasing each other. "Aww, that's adorable! Of course you can marry your crush even though she's already been set to marry your bestfriend and you're hoping that your heart won't be crushed to bits and pieces because you know that she and you will never happen and your delusions are the only one's keeping you sane!" The kid's mom spoke quickly without stopping, knowing that her child didn't understood any of what she said. "What?" The kid asked. "Nothing, I'm sure you'll get to marry your crush one day, hehe." The mother awkwardly assured her son.

Haerin and Minji heard the mother and son's conversation, they turned to look at them both who were smiling at them. "You are a lovely couple, my son wanted to have happiness just like you two!" The mother smiled before walking away. Haerin and Minji were left confused and looked at one another. "Do we look like a couple to you?" Minji teased and chuckled. "N-no? We're just friends?" Haerin nervously answered and looked away.

The two continued looking for snacks before checking out and going back to their friends. "Hey! We got your food!" Minji showed the bag of snacks excitedly and skipped all the way to them. Haerin on the other hand, found it cute, but she soon caught herself and snapped herself back to reality. "C'mon, Kang! You don't wanna miss the movie, do you?" Minji motioned for her to come over since she's just standing behind them awkwardly. "Y-yeah." Haerin then caught up, they found their seat and she ended up sitting between Minji and Danielle.

"Ah! My favorite! Thanks, Haerin-ie!" Hyein did a little dancy dance due to her excitement. The rest giggled and chilled themselves as the movie was about to start.

After an hour in the movie, Haerin was starting to feel sleepy again, her head kept on bobbing up and down as she tries to wake herself up. Her friends found it funny and cute, she wass dozzing off again and her head was about to hit the seat in front of her, but she was caught by Minji on time. "You should just sleep, don't force yourself if you're tired." Minji giggled as her hands were on Haerin's forehead, she pulled Haerin's head to rest on her shoulders and let her sleep on it.

"She was getting sleepy, I can't just let her fall face first, right?" Minji turned to her girlfriend, Hanni, once she noticed her glare. Hanni simply hummed, she can't deny that she was feeling jealous, but she knows they're just friends, she can't let her jealousy act up, she's Haerin's bestfriend afterall.

Even though Haerin and her were different, their friendship stayed strong. They have this low maintenance friendship, and they like it that way. Haerin isn't always the one she talks to, they don't even open up to one another when it comes to venting what they feel. But they were always there for each other, they have similarities on perspectives and how they see people, it's just the way their friendship is.

Haerin could be gullible sometimes, so Hanni would be there for her to save her. While Haerin loves to smile and engage with people (although she isn't the one who approaches them) Hanni on the other hand is the opposite. Haerin the sunshine, Hanni the sunshine protector.

After the movie, they strolled around the mall for a bit and went on separate ways to go home. "Mhm, I'll see you tomorrow." Minji pecked Hanni on the lips, making their friends gag playfully. "Eugh! Not in front of us!" Hanni, Danielle, and Hyein would be in Danielle's car, the three of them lives in the same apartment, so they always go home together.

Once the three left, it was Minji and Haerin left alone. "Let's go?" Minji turned to ask Haerin who was still waving. "Mhm." Haerin hummed, they walked together on their way to Minji's car, and as always, Minji opened the door for Haerin. "You know you don't have to do that, right?" Haerin giggled once she entered. "I want to." Minji smirked before closing the door and driving their way to Haerin's place.
