Haerin
Okay... I'm going on a trip... with Minji's family. God, I just hope it goes well. Please don't fuck around, Haerin.
As of now, I am waiting at the porch for Minji. She's on her way to pick me up. Why am I getting nervous? It feels like I'm her girlfriend for some reason.
5 minutes later, her car stopped in front of our gate. She came outside her car and waved at me.
"Haerin-ah!"
"Hi, Minji."
"You ready?" She spoke with an excited smile.
She smells so good what-
"Yes, I am." I am so not ready.
"Good, let me help you with those." She took my heavy luggage and carried them to the car as if it was a school backpack. I know she's strong, but damn.
"T-thanks, that is so heavy, how did you even do that?"
"My workouts payed off, I guess." She chuckled and looked at me. I haven't seen her workout yet, I'd be glad to watch though.
Okay enough of that Haerin.
"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" She asked as she drove.
"Not yet, I didn't want you to wait instead of me." I'm a girl who does a lot of things to herself just to get ready, and I want myself to look perfect because well, that's what people always expect from me.
"Oh? Don't worry, we'll get you breakfast on the road."
"N-no, I'm good, thanks though."
"Would you rather let me buy you a simple breakfast, or would you rather let my mom present you a whole buffet? I won't take neither for an answer."
Sigh... I don't like it when people treat me so much 'coz I feel like a spoiled child.
"But- okay, I'll take your request." I responded, sighing in defeat.
"Good choice! So, where do you want to eat?"
I was going to say that she can pick, but I didn't want to make her think more, so I just said "A hot tea and a toast would be fine, thanks again." I smiled to her beautiful face that I kept on glancing at.
"Alright. By the way, is there something in my face? You keep on looking at it for some reason." She chuckled as she looked at herself in the mirror.
Yeah, something's in her face. It was the face of the person I know I love.
"None, you look pretty."
I immediately had my eyes wide in shock as well as Minji's, but her eyes glimmered, and I saw shades of pink tinting her cheeks.
I was just saying what's in my mind! I didn't mean to say it out loud.
"Am I?"
"Y-yeah... AHEM." I cleared my throat and looked at the window to hide my embrassment.
...
"Thanks, you too." Minji chuckled softly and it was music to Haerin's ears. She loved hearing her chuckles, her deep raspy voice matched with her smile that makes her melt like a makeup on a extremely hot day.
Using the word ice cream is too cliché.
After hours, they have arrived at the beach resort they were staying at. Haerin was still a bit nervous, but Minji noticed.
"Are you okay?" Minji tapped her shoulders and asked.
"Huh? Yeah... I'm fine." Haerin smiled a little, appreciating Minji's kind gesture.
"You're nervous, I know that."
Minji's chuckle made Haerin more at ease, she was calming down little by little. "How can you say that?" Haerin raised her eyebrows.
"I know you. I've learned how you behave already, you were always like that when we were little." Minji said with a dopey smile.
"Was I?"
"Yeah! I'd offer you my hand back then, then everything's alright. Crazy how someone could make you feel better just by their touch." They smiled to each other and soon went out to check what the others are doing.
"The view is nice." Haerin spoke, when suddenly she heard a camera click when she was just turning around to look at Minji.
Minji smirked then looked at the picture she took of Haerin and said "You're right, the view is nice." The two laughed it off and took more pictures of each other.
"Oh yes girl! Yes, yes! Just like that! Uh-huh, perfect!" Minji was being playful as she took Haerin's photos. She was feeling something special between them, she felt that maybe Minji really still likes her.
As much as she wanted to know an answer, there is no other option but to observe instead of asking.
"Come on girls! Let's eat!" Mrs. Kim waved her hand as she called the two. They quickly rushed off the sand and had a race to who gets there first.
"Aww, man!" Haerin laughed at Minji's expression when she managed to outrun her. "You guys seem to be really having fun already, that's good!" Minji's mom exclaimed.
They looked at each other's eyes and nervously smiled as they knew something was forming up. At times like that, both of them would miss how things were when they were still with each other. Too bad that Haerin let go so easily.
At first, Minji was hurt as a child, but eventually, she realized that they were still young back then. But she knew that she was the one she really loved dearly. She was the one she would always talk about with her family, and had always expressed her love to Haerin.
She misses those days, but she can't do it because she's with Hanni now and she doesn't want to hurt the girls' feelings.
As of now, she was starting to get more confused between the two girls, what she's feeling feels so wrong, yet it feels so right. She was smiling like she used to smile way back then. The spark in her eyes that was once lost because of time was slowly lighting up again like they used to.
She was feeling really happy around Haerin, she felt like it was more natural... but what about the other girl? How could she be with someone that she's starting to fall in love with again when she was already being loved by someone?
Yes, Hanni loves her a lot and Minji loves her too, but something about Haerin was making her think twice.
It gets really hard when someone that you lost... someone you were very fond of, started to make it's way back to you without really trying to.
