The sun has risen again, it was another day for the 5 friends to see each other and do their responsibilities as students.

"Psst! Do you know the answer to number 4?" Hanni turned her head around to look at me for answers. We're having a surprise quiz and neither of us knew anything. Well- not really, the both of us studies our lessons at night, I'm guessing she didn't do it last night, sigh. "Yeah, I do!" I mouthed the words out and nodded.
Even though she was sitting in literally the first row, while I'm in the last row at the back, asking for answers wasn't a problem. You can say we were experts when it comes to things like this.
Don't judge us! You may say that we don't deserve to top the class since I said we were experts, but hey! Everyone does that, am I right? And no, we don't do it all time, we only ask each other like 2-3 questions, then we answer the rest ourselves. You should've seen how the boys in our class do it, literally shameless.
"Well? What is it??" She turned her head quickly once more. I find this kind of situation between us funny, and cute. "October 12, 2018!" I mouthed once again, the question was when did our professor and her lover met each other.
I HATE IT WHEN THEY PUT RANDOM ASS QUESTIONS THAT IS NOT EVEN RELATED TO OUR TOPIC!
Once, she even included her full name in our test! And that was her first day as our teacher! Not a lot got the correct answer because we all got confused of the names, you can't blame us, there were 8 new teachers that day.
"Thanks, bro!" She winked at me then turned back around to write it on her paper.
Once our test was over, the score was announced. She ended up getting full marks, while I had 1 mistake.
This is one of the times where I would think "I shouldn't have given her my answer!" Or like "This is so unfair!" But, I don't blame her, I blame myself for giving her the answer so easily.
"So, how many did you get?" Minji asked while we were in line, buying some food at the cafeteria as we took our break time. "49." I sighed.
"Oh wow, and you didn't even have to review for it, huh?"
"Hm."
"Hey, what's with the long face? You only had 1 mistake, that's so cool for someone who wasn't prepared for a test!" She peeked behind my back and smiled to cheer me up. "Yeah, I guess." I replied without looking at her, she furrowed her eyebrows and said "You shouldn't have given your answer to Hanni. You know, sometimes you're just too kind, or maybe even selfless. Not sometimes, always, actually. You've done that to almost everyone, even to Marcus, who barely even studies at all."
I looked at her in the eye, and realized that she had a point. I've always given my all for everyone. I always pleased people, I didn't want to not do what they say, because I don't want them to think that I'm selfish or something, I like helping people out, even if it causes negative effects to me.
"Wanna grab some ice cream after school to cheer you up?" I didn't expect her to say that, she never really does that to me, or to anyone. "Does Hanni know?" I asked with worry. "Not yet, but I'm sure she'll be fine with it! Don't worry." Minji pinched my cheek, making my heart skip a beat because of how close we are. "A-ah, okay." I managed to stutter out.
...
Minji
"Babe!" I called Hanni out, she was in the office, chatting with her other friends. "Hi! What brings you here?" She smiled with her eyes, never failing to make me melt. "Oh nothing, I just came here to tell you that Haerin and I will be getting ice cream after school." I smiled at her, she didn't look too pleased with what I said.
"Why?" She crossed her arms and gave me a stern look. "Just to cheer her up, she looked down a while ago." I tried to calm her down, it didn't work. "Why should you cheer her up? Why was she down?" She looked like she was interrogating me at this point.
"Well, I asked for her score, she told me she got 49, I can tell from her eyes and her tone that she wasn't too happy with it. Then, I told her the two of us could grab some ice cream after school to make her happy."
"Minji, she's not your responsibility, is she now? Haerin can take care of her own, she doesn't need anyone to cheer her up."
"I know, but she's also my friend, can't I look out for her?" I was getting annoyed by Hanni's reaction. We're all friends, I don't know why she suddenly got worked up.
"Fine! Then go! Make her happy, like you always do!" She threw her hands in the air and left the room.
Like I always do?
"Hanni, wait!" I tried catching up to her as she walked away furiously. "Just- go... Minji. You don't wanna see her sulking." Her tone suddenly softened, she looked at me in the eye and smiled, it was a sad smile. I don't know what just happened right now, she's never done this before.
"Baby, I'm sorry, I was just trying to be a good friend to her." I held her hand and cupped her face. "I know, and you are a good friend to her. Just, please, don't take it too far?" Hanni sighed as she placed her hand in my chest. "I won't, I already have you." I leaned in closer and smiled while I held her hands tighter.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
