"Hey crispy!"
Touya turned his head to scowl at Keigo, who was running up to him.
"Don't call me that!" Touya hissed.
"Well, I thought since you call me feathers, I should be able to give you a nickname too!" Keigo smirked, hands on his hips.
"But crispy? Seriously?" Touya said in clear distaste. What a lame nickname.
"Well yeah, cause you know..." Keigo gestured to Touya's whole body. "You're kinda...crispy looking. With all the burns and..."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shut up." Touya growled. "No need to state the obvious."
"Someone needs to." Keigo looked around. "You haven't seen Izuku yet?"
"Nope." Touya Shook his head. "I say we head to his school. Maybe we can catch him on his way home."
"Great idea! We could find out where he lives!" Keigo marched in the direction of the school.
tou"Don't say it like that, it makes us sound like creeps." Touya scolded, running after him.
As Touya trudged after Keigo, he rubbed his eyes and yawned. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night, his thoughts consumed with worry for Izuku. He has siblings, but he never got too close to them before he ran away. Shoto would be around Izuku's age at this point. He almost felt like he was replacing him, and sometimes he really felt guilty. He had left his baby brother to face his father all by himself. Touya sighed as they walked to Izuku's school. He hadn't seen Shoto in 6 years. Shoto had only been a year old when he left. What a lame big brother he was. He sometimes felt like he was making up for that by being the best big brother he could be for little Izuku. He loved Izuku so much. Sometimes he forgot that he really wasn't his little brother and that Keigo really wasn't his very extremely annoying slightly younger brother.
But sometimes, he really missed his siblings. He missed the way Fuyumi would comfort him after a particularly bad night filled with nightmares, or Natsuo's positivity and endless amount of energy. He missed the way his mom would hug him, and whisper kind things into his ear. He missed holding Shoto, and the way his baby brother would latch onto his finger and gurgle baby nonsense at him. Yes, he missed his family so very much, minus his father, but he wouldn't give up meeting Izuku, even if it meant he could still be happy with his family. At this point, Izuku meant too much to him, and as much as he hated to admit it, Keigo meant a lot to him too, despite being the most annoying human being he had ever met.
Touya sighed, he really hoped Izuku was okay. He didn't know what he'd do if he wasn't.
"Hey, whatcha thinking about?" Keigo suddenly asked, walking backwards to face Touya.
"Nothing you need to worry your pretty little feathered head about." Touya said crossing his arms.
"Okay, okay. I won't pry." Keigo put his hands up in defeat, and went back to walking forwards.
"Hey! Look!" Keigo suddenly shouted, running faster.
Touya looked up, trying to figure out what Keigo was so excited about. He didn't have to wait long to get his answer.
"Little bird!" Keigo squealed, running up to a very flustered Izuku.
Touya shook his head and rolled his eyes. This guy. He watched from the sidelines as Keigo swooped down to pick up a wide-eyed Izuku, who sqeaked in surprise.
"K-Keigo?" Izuku asked softly as he was being squeezed to death. "C-can you p-put m-me d-down. I c-can't breathe!" Izuku wheazed.
"Oops!" Keigo laughed as he released Izuku from his death grip. "Sorry little bird! I was just so happy to see you! When you didn't show yesterday, Dabi and I got really worried."
"You were worried about me?" Izuku asked quietly.
"Of course we were!" Keigo cupped Izuku's face in his hands. "We're your older brothers! We'll always worry about you!"
Touya's heart twisted painfully as he noticed the tears in Izuku's eyes. This kid. He really knew how to pull at his heart strings, huh?
"Tou-Dabi?"
Touya smiled at Izuku's slip up, and walked towards him. "Come here and give your much cooler big brother a hug!"
Izuku giggled and crashed into Touya's arms. "You know it's only been two days since you've seen me. What's the big deal?"
"I missed my Izu hugs." Touya mumbled into his little brother's green curls.
"What happened, little bird?" Keigo asked. "We were worried when you didn't show up yesterday? Were you sick?"
Izuku pulled out of Touya's hug, and stared at the ground. "Uh, no. I wasn't sick. My...my p-parents wanted me home right after school. They uh, they didn't like how I was always coming home late."
"Oh no! Can we not see you anymore?!" Keigo cried out in dismay. "What will I do without my little bid?"
"No, no, it's not that I can't see you, I just can't hang out as long...that's all." Izuku mumbled. "Uh, but today I really should get home as soon a possible."
"We can walk with you if you want." Touya offered. He was worried about this whole situation. The way Izuku seemed nervous, and almost scared. He didn't like it.
"Oh no! You don't have to!" Izuku said quickly. "I'll be fine. I'll see you both tomorrow!"
"Are you sure?" Keigo ask worriedly. "We don't mind at all."
"Yeah, I'm sure." Izuku almost whispered. "I'll be okay. I'll see you both tomorrow! Bye!"
Touya and Keigo waved at Izuku, who flashed them a bright smile, and took off.
"I'm worried about him." Keigo said to Touya. "Something is going on with him, and it's not good."
"I agree with you. We need to do some investigating." Touya murmured. "Somethings going on with our baby brother, and we won't stop until we find out."
"Dang right, we won't." Keigo nodded.. "Nobody messes with our little bird. Nobody."
