Izuku kept close to Hitoshi the rest of the school day. Sometimes his wings would hurt so much that Hitoshi would have to drag him to the bathroom to take a break and so that he could cry without anyone judging him.

None of the teachers besides Nakamura-san noticed anything unusual with Izuku despite the fact that he was wincing in pain the whole day, and was clearly in distress. Hitoshi muttered something about wondering how they got their teaching license's in the first place.

Even though most of the teachers seemed to brush off Izuku's odd behavior, Katsuki didn't miss a thing. He caught on pretty early on that there was something wrong with his ex best friend. In fact, after Izuku and Hitoshi finally made it to class after wrapping his wings, Katsuki marched up to them with a scowl.

"What the heck is wrong with you Deku?" Katsuki banged his fist on Izuku's desk causing him to flinch. Hitoshi just growled at him.

"He's fine. Now leave us alone." Hitoshi snapped, grabbing Izuku's hand in hopes of comforting him.

"I asked a question and now I want a truthful answer eye-bags." Katsuki sneered, leaning forward until his face was only a few inches from Hitoshi's.

"Well that's just too bad isn't it?" Hitoshi said calmly. "Because you're not getting the truth out of me. I have absolutely no reason to trust you."

Katsuki was livid at this point, and it was very clear that he was close to snapping.

"I want the truth. Now."

"No." Hitoshi shook his head.

"Deku." Katsuki turned to glare at Izuku, who was now trembling. "You know better than to lie to me. Your bodyguard can't be around you 24/7, at some point you're going to have to face me, so tell me. What. The. Heck. Is. Wrong. With. You?"

"Nothing, Kacchan." Izuku whispered, avoiding his gaze.

Katsuki scoffed. "Sure. Whatever. Lie for all I care. It's not like I care about you." And with that Katsuki walked away with an annoyed huff.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath, "Why did he bother to come over here anyways? What a weirdo."

"He's a-always b-been like th-that." Izuku said softly. "Sometimes he a-acts like he c-cares, but th-then he blows up a-and y-yells at me."

"He's an idiot." Hitoshi decided, his eyes narrowing at Katsuki.

Izuku didn't say anything to refute Hitoshi's comment.

After school it took Izuku several minutes to convince Hitoshi to let him go back home.

"I still think that you should come to my house. Let me tell my parents! They'll help!" Hitoshi pleaded, as he clutched Izuku's hands in his own. "They want to meet you anyways."

"You promised that you wouldn't tell anyone!" Izuku protested, hurt in his eyes. Hitoshi had promised. Surely he wouldn't break that promise.

"I just don't want you to get hurt anymore." Hitoshi said softly. "You're my best friend and it feels wrong to let you go back there when I know what's going on."

"It's okay." Izuku replied, trying to reassure his friend. "It'll j-just be w-worse if I get h-home late. It's better that I get h-home as soon as possible."

"At least let me walk you? Please?" Hitoshi begged.

"Okay. Fine." Izuku nodded reluctantly. "If that what it takes for you to not tell anyone, then yes."

While they walked to Izuku's house neither one of them said much. Izuku began trembling once they got within a few blocks on his house.

"Are you sure you want to go home?" Hitoshi asked again, glancing at his friend with concern.

Izuku hesitated for a moment before answering. "Y-yes. I don't w-want to give my p-parents more reasons to be a-angry at me."

They were now standing in front of Izuku's house. He wrung his hands as he looked from his friend to his house. He had to admit that he was second guessing his decision. Maybe he should take Hitoshi up on his offer. Maybe he should tell Aizawa and get help. But he was scared. His dad had connections, even if he got arrested he would find a way to make sure that Izuku paid.

"Um...bye, I-I guess." Izuku said awkwardly.

"Are you sure about this?" Hitoshi said, his eyes filled with concern. "It's not too late to change your mind."

"N-no. I'm sure."

Just as Izuku was leaving, he let out a gasp when Hitoshi pulled him into a gentle hug.

"Please...be safe. I don't think I could handle it if something happened to you." Hitoshi whispered in his ear. "You're my best friend."

Izuku hugged him back, tears streaming down his face.

"I'll be okay, Hitochan." He said softly. "I'll s-see you tomorrow, o-okay?"

"Promise?" Hitoshi pushed Izuku back so that he could look him eye to eye.

Izuku gave him a small smile. "I promise!"

Izuku could tell that Hitoshi was holding back tears.

"Okay, I'll hold you to that promise then."

Izuku walked up the steps to the front door and turned around to wave goodbye. Before he entered his house, he watched Hitoshi wave back. Izuku smiled and then he shut the door behind him, not noticing the tears running down his best friends cheeks.

He was walking to his room when hands grabbed at him and he screamed. He struggled as they began to bind him with ropes, and before he could really comprehend what was happening, he felt a sharp pain in his skull and everything went black.

Keigo sighed, still frustrated that the commission had called him back at such an inconvenient time. Izuku was his priority but unfortunately the commission didn't care about what he wanted or needed to do. He belonged to them, and they loved to make sure that he knew it.

"Ah, Takami." The lady at the front desk greeted him with cold eyes. "We've been waiting for you."

"So..." Keigo drawled. "What's this new project that you need my help with?"

The lady gave him a sly grin. "Walk through that door." She pointed to a door near the back of the room. "Your superiors will tell you all about your new project."

Keigo nervously made his way to the room that he was directed to. He had a very bad feeling about this new project. Anything that commission was excited about was usually bad news. He took a deep breath before composing himself and opening the door. Two of his superiors were standing in the room waiting for him. They both had wicked grins on their faces, and he realized that there was someone tied up in a chair behind them. Whoever it was looked small. He frowned as he walked closer.

"Welcome back, Takami." One of his superiors, Watanabi-san greeted. "Meet your new mission."

Keigo's eyes widened once he finally got a good look at his new "mission". He nearly had a heart attack when he realized who exactly was strapped in that chair.

It was his little bird, his brother, Izuku.
