Y/N stepped into her boutique, LEESERENE, feeling the comforting familiarity of the space. The smell of fresh flowers and new fabrics filled the air, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Her assistant, Rosie, was arranging a new display by the window, her face lighting up as she saw Y/N.
"Morning, Y/N!" Rosie greeted cheerfully. "You look radiant today."
Y/N smiled, though a part of her mind was still occupied by the events of the previous night. "Good morning, Rosie. How are things here?"
"Everything's great! We had a few new customers this morning, and they absolutely loved the new summer collection," Rosie replied, her enthusiasm infectious.
Y/N's mood lightened as she listened to Rosie's updates. The boutique was more than just a business to her; it was a sanctuary, a place where she could express her creativity and find solace. She walked over to the display and adjusted a few items, her mind momentarily distracted from her worries.
"You should have seen Mrs. Park trying on that blue dress," Rosie continued with a giggle. "She looked so happy, and she couldn't stop twirling around in it."
Y/N laughed, the sound genuine and warm. "I'm glad to hear that. It's moments like these that make all the hard work worth it."
As they chatted, Y/N felt a sense of normalcy returning. She enjoyed these light-hearted conversations with Rosie, who had become more like a friend than just an employee. They talked about everything from fashion trends to weekend plans, their laughter filling the boutique.
Outside, Taehyung sat in his black car, his eyes fixed on Y/N through the store window. He watched her every movement, the way she interacted with Rosie, her smile, her laughter. It infuriated him. She looked so happy, so independent. It was a stark contrast to the way he remembered her—scared, obedient, trembling at the sound of his name.
He did miss her smile, but what he missed the most was the fear in her eyes, the way she used to shiver when he claimed her. The memories of those days filled him with a twisted sense of satisfaction.
But seeing her now, so free and content, only fueled his obsession. She had grown more beautiful over the years, her features more refined and her confidence radiating from within. He scanned her with his dark eyes, his thoughts turning sinful.
Just then, Y/N seemed to sense something. She turned around, her eyes scanning the street outside. Taehyung quickly ducked down, but not before catching the confused look on her face. He smirked, pleased that she still had that instinctive fear, even if she didn't realize it was him watching.
Inside the boutique, Y/N shook off the uneasy feeling. She turned back to Rosie, who was now recounting a funny incident with a customer.
"...and then she said, 'I'll take three!'" Rosie finished, causing both of them to burst into laughter.
