Y/n lay on her side, wrapped in a warm silk blanket, but even the blanket's comfort couldn't chase away the cold fear within her. Her mind replayed painful memories like a cruel movie: the car accident that claimed her parents' lives, her heart-wrenching screams as she begged to see them one last time, and the devastating denial of attending their funeral.

Those memories echoed in her mind, amplifying her fear of the future. She trembled at the thought of Taehyung hurting Jungkook. He was all she had left, and the thought of losing him was unbearable.

Just then, the door clicked open. She turned to see Jungkook entering the room, his tie loosened, and his blazer in hand. It was 1:30 a.m. He closed the door softly and looked at her.

"Did I wake you?" he asked, his voice tired but gentle.

She shook her head. "No, I wasn't sleeping."

"Are you feeling better? Is the headache still bothering you?" he asked, concern evident in his eyes.

She forced a small smile. "I'm fine now," she lied.

Jungkook sighed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. Y/n lay back down, trying to push away thoughts of Taehyung and her past. She needed to be present for Jungkook, who was always there for her.

A few minutes later, she felt the bed shift as Jungkook climbed in. His hair was still wet, and he wore only loose trousers. He hugged her from behind, his face nuzzling into her neck as he moaned in relaxation.

"You were amazing today," she said, trying to cheer him up despite her own fears. "I was so proud of you."

Jungkook hummed in response and began kissing her neck. But as he did, her mind flashed back to Taehyung's earlier touch. Despite knowing it was Jungkook, her body recoiled, feeling Taehyung's unwelcome presence. Panic surged through her, and she pushed Jungkook away gently.

"What's wrong?" he asked, confused.

"Not tonight, please," she begged, her voice trembling.

"But you said you were alright now," he pressed, his frustration growing.

"I am," she insisted, tears filling her eyes. "Please, just not tonight."

Jungkook's face hardened. "I really need this, Y/n. I'm so stressed," he sounded almost desperate.

"Please, try to understand," she pleaded, her voice breaking.

He sat up, clearly upset. "Where are you going?" she asked, panic rising in her chest.

He didn't respond and walked out, leaving her alone. Y/n broke down, sobbing into her pillow. She cursed herself for hurting him. Taehyung had only just returned, and already he was tearing her life apart, just as he intended.

Y/n lay in bed, her heart aching. She loved Jungkook more than anything, but Taehyung's reappearance had stirred up old fears and traumas. She couldn't let Taehyung destroy the life she had built with Jungkook.
